Jesus replied, A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road; and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion, and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; then he set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. Nativity Fast (November 15 - December 24) The Nativity Fast is divided into two periods. The first period is November 15 through December 19 when the traditional fasting discipline (no meat, poultry, eggs, dairy, fish, wine and oil) is observed with katalysis for wine and oil on Tuesday and Thursday, and for fish, wine and oil on Saturday and Sunday. The second period is December 20 through 24 when the traditional fasting discipline (no meat, poultry, eggs, dairy, fish, wine and oil) is observed Monday through Friday, but with katalysis for wine and oil on Saturday and Sunday. [Katalysis is Greek, meaning relaxation.]

And though virus threat necessarily limits our Christmas performance this year, the Sunday School still plans a Christmas talent show, "My Gift to Jesus", on Sunday December 20, 2020 via Zoom at 1:00 PM. Please encourage your children to prepare a Christmas-themed song, poem, reading, drawing, or instrumental piece to share with all of us via video in celebration of Jesus' birth. I am happy to help them select and plan their presentations. Please have them attend Sunday School Zoom classes on Sundays at 1:00PM so I can help them. This card is used to spread the greetings of Christ s birth to families and friends throughout the community.
