So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. Al-Baqara 22 And the earth, He made it flat after that. Al-Naazi'aat 30 و الا ر ض ب ع د ذ ل ك د ح اھ ا ٣٠ The word Dahaha in a dictionary: In Lisan Al Arab (Arab Tounge) The verb Dahaha comes from the noun Dahu. 3 ال ذ ي ج ع ل ل ك م الا ر ض م ھ د ا و ج ع ل ل ك م ف یھ ا س ب لا ل ع ل ك م ت ھ ت د ون ١٠ [The one] who has made for you the earth a bed and made for you upon it roads that you might be guided Al-Zukhruf 10 Have We not made the earth a spread place. Al-Naba 6 أ ل م ن ج ع ل الا ر ض م ھ اد ا ٦ Muhammad bin Al-Muthanna said: Ibn Abi Udayy said that Shu ba said that Sulayman said that Abi Dhabyan said that Ibn 'Abbaas said: "The first thing that Allah created was the pen, then it wrote everything that was going to happen, and then he lifted up the water vapor, and he created the heavens from it, Then he created the whale and spread the earth on the back of the whale, and the earth moved and tilted, so he made it firm by the mountains, and the mountains are lofty on the earth, and he recited: ( Nun. By the pen, and what they write ). Tafsir Ibn Abi Hatim حدثنا محمد بن المثنى قال: ثنا ابن أبى عدي عن شعبة عن سلیمان عن أبي ظ ب یان عن ابن عباس قال: أو ل ما خلق الله من شيء القلم فجرى بما ھو كاي ن ثم رفع بخار الماء فخلقت منھ السموات ثم خلق النون فبسطت الا رض على ظھر النون فتحر كت الا رض فمادت فا ثبت بالجبال فا ن الجبال لتفخر على الا رض قال: وقرأ:ن و ال ق ل م و م ا ی س ط ر و ن تفسیر ابن أبي حاتم Al-Qahtani said in his Nuniyya: The astronomer and the soothsayer and their kind lie, they claim they possess the knowledge of Allah For them both the earth is spherical and they have this statement in common And the earth is flat for the people of intellect based on the true proof from the clear Quran Al-Nuniyya of Al-Qahtani Al-Andalusi p.32 قال القحطاني في نونیتھ كذب المھندس والمنجم مثلھ... فھما لعلم الله مدعیان -245 الا رض عند كلیھما كرویة... وھما بھذا القول مقترنان -246 والا رض عند أولي النھى لسطیحة... بدلیل صدق واضح القرآن -247 ص 32 Concerning the sun and the moon The sun and the moon both are light sources. ت ب ار ك ال ذ ي ج ع ل ف ي ال سم ا ء ب ر وج ا و ج ع ل ف یھ ا س ر اج ا و ق م ر ا من یر ا

4 Blessed is He who has placed in the sky constellations and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. Al-Furqan 61 And we constructed above you seven strong [heavens] And made [therein] a burning lamp Al-Naba و ب ن ی ن ا ف و ق ك م س ب ع ا ش د اد ا و ج ع ل ن ا س ر اج ا و ھ اج ا أ ل م ت ر و ا ك ی ف خ ل ق الله س ب ع س م او ا ت ط ب اق ا و ج ع ل ال ق م ر ف یھ ن ن ور ا و ج ع ل ال شم س س ر اج ا Do you not see how Allah has created seven heavens in layers And made the moon therein a light and made the sun a lamp? Nuh ھ و ال ذ ي ج ع ل ال شم س ض ی ا ء و ال ق م ر ن ور ا و ق در ه م ن از ل ل ت ع ل م وا ع د د ال سن ی ن و ال ح س ا ب م ا خ ل ق الا ی ات ل ق و م ی ع ل م و ن إ لا ب ال ح ق ی ف ص ل ذ ل ك الله He it is Who made the sun a shining brightness and the moon a light, and ordained for it phases that you might know the number of years and the time. Allah did not create it but with truth; He makes the signs manifest for a people who know. Yunus: 5 These ayaat refute the theory of the kuffar that the moon reflects the light of the sun. The Arabic word Nur means light and it does not mean reflection of light. The following aya is clear and no one can claim that Allah reflects light. Exalted is He. الله ن ور ال سم او ات و الا ر ض Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. Al-Nur 35 The sun and the moon move and the earth does not move. أ من ج ع ل الا ر ض ق ر ار ا و ج ع ل خ لا ل ھ ا أ ن ھ ار ا و ج ع ل ل ھ ا ر و اس ي و ج ع ل ب ی ن ال ب ح ر ی ن ح اج ز ا أ إ ل ھ مع الله ب ل أ ك ث ر ھ م لا ی ع ل م ون Is not He Who has made the earth as a fixed abode, and has placed rivers in its midst, and has

5 placed firm mountains therein, and has set a barrier between the two seas (of salt and sweet water)! Is there any ilah (god) with Allah? Nay, but most of them know not! Al-Naml:61 Is not He Who has made the earth as a fixed abode, meaning, stable and stationary, so that it does not move or convulse, because if it were to do so, it would not be a good place for people to live on. But by His grace and mercy, He has made it smooth and calm, and it is not shaken or moved. ١٥ و أ ل ق ى ف ي الا ر ض ر و اس ي أ ن ت م ید ب ك م و أ ن ھ ار ا و س ب لا ل ع ل ك م ت ھ ت د و ن And He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it tilt with you, and [made] rivers and roads, that you may be guided, Al-Nahl 15 A ball can impossibly tilt. So this Aya alone refutes the whole theory of NASA. و ھ و ال ذ ي خ ل ق الل ی ل و الن ھ ار و ال شم س و ال ق م ر ك ل ف ي ف ل ك ی س ب ح ون And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all in an orbit are moving. Al-Anbiya 21:33 خ ل ق ال سم او ات و الا ر ض ب ال ح ق ی ك ور الل ی ل ع ل ى الن ھ ار و ی ك ور الن ھ ار ع ل ى الل ی ل و س خر ال شم س و ال ق م ر ك ل ی ج ر ي لا ج ل مس م ى أ لا ھ و ال ع ز یز ال غ ف ار He created the heavens and earth in truth. He wraps the night over the day and wraps the day over the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term. He is the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver. Al-Zumar 5 By the sun and its brightness And [by] the moon when it follows it Al-Shams 1-2 و ال ش م س و ض ح اھ ا و ال ق م ر إ ذ ا ت لا ھ ا

6 و ال شم س ت ج ر ي ل م س ت ق ر ل ھ ا ذ ل ك ت ق د یر ال ع ز یز ال ع ل یم و ال ق م ر ق در ن اه م ن از ل ح ت ى ع اد ك ال ع ر ج ون ال ق د یم لا ال شم س ی نب غ ي ل ھ ا أ ن ت د ر ك ال ق م ر و لا الل ی ل س اب ق الن ھ ار و ك ل ف ي ف ل ك ی س ب ح ون And the sun runs [on course] toward its point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is moving. Ya sin ح دث ن ا م ح مد ب ن ی وس ف ح دث ن ا س ف ی ان ع ن الا ع م ش ع ن إ ب ر اھ یم الت ی م ي ع ن أ ب یھ ع ن أ ب ي ذ ر رضى الله عنھ ق ال ق ا ل الن ب ي صلى الله علیھ وسلم لا ب ي ذ ر ح ین غ ر ب ت ال شم س " ت د ر ي أ ی ن ت ذ ھ ب ". ق ل ت الله و ر س ول ھ أ ع ل م. ق ال " ف ا ن ھ ا ت ذ ھ ب ح ت ى ت س ج د ت ح ت ال ع ر ش ف ت س ت ا ذ ن ف ی و ذ ن ل ھ ا و ی وش ك أ ن ت س ج د ف لا ی ق ب ل م ن ھ ا و ت س ت ا ذ ن ف لا ی و ذ ن ل ھ ا ی ق ال ل ھ ا ار ج ع ي م ن ح ی ث ج ي ت. ف ت ط ل ع م ن م غ ر ب ھ ا ف ذ ل ك ق و ل ھ ت ع ال ى و ال شم س ت ج ر ي ل م س ت ق ر ل ھ ا ذ ل ك ت ق د یر ال ع ز یز ال ع ل یم Narrated Abu Dhar: The Prophet (ﷺ) asked me at sunset, "Do you know where the sun goes (at the time of sunset)?" I replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, "It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates Itself underneath the Throne and takes the permission to rise again, and it is permitted and then (a time will come when) it will be about to prostrate itself but its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask permission to go on its course but it will not be permitted, but it will be ordered to return whence it has come and so it will rise in the west. And that is the interpretation of the Statement of Allah: "And the sun Runs its fixed course For a term (decreed). that is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in Might, The All- Knowing." (36.38) Sahih Al-Bukhari 3199 The stars are not millions of miles away and no one can go outside of the terrestrial heaven. ف ق ض اھ ن س ب ع س م او ات ف ي ی و م ی ن و أ و ح ى ف ي ك ل س م اء أ م ر ھ ا و ز ی ن ا ال سم اء ال دن ی ا ب م ص اب یح و ح ف ظ ا ذ ل ك ت ق د یر ال ع ز یز ال ع ل ی م And He completed them as seven heavens within two days and inspired in each heaven its command. And We adorned the nearest heaven with lamps and as protection. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. Fussilat: 12

7 و ل ق د ز ی ن ا ال سم اء ال دن ی ا ب م ص اب یح و ج ع ل ن اھ ا ر ج وم ا ل ل شی اط ین و أ ع ت د ن ا ل ھ م ع ذ اب ال سع ی ر And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze. Al-Mulk 5 و أ ن ا ل م س ن ا ال سم اء ف و ج د ن اھ ا م ل ي ت ح ر س ا ش د ید ا و ش ھ ب ا و أ ن ا ك ن ا ن ق ع د م ن ھ ا م ق اع د ل ل سم ع ف م ن ی س ت م ع الا ن ی ج د ل ھ ش ھ اب ا رص د ا And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. Al-Jinn 8-9 ی ا م ع ش ر ال ج ن و الا نس إ ن اس ت ط ع ت م أ ن ت نف ذ وا م ن أ ق ط ار ال سم او ات و الا ر ض ف انف ذ وا لا ت نف ذ ون إ لا ب س ل ط ا ن O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah ]. Al-Rahman 33 باب في النجوم و ق ال ق ت اد ة : {و ل ق د ز ی ن ا ال سم اء ال دن ی ا ب م ص اب یح } [الملك: ٥] خ ل ق ھ ذ ه الن ج وم ل ث لا ث : ج ع ل ھ ا ز ین ة ل ل سم اء و ر ج وم ا ل ل شی اط ین و ع لا م ات ی ھ ت د ى ب ھ ا ف م ن ت ا ول ف یھ ا ب غ ی ر ذ ل ك أ خ ط ا و أ ض اع ن ص یب ھ و ت ك ل ف م ا لا ع ل م ل ھ ب ھ صحیح البخاري (About the) Stars Qatāda said about Allāh's Statement: And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps..." (V.67:5): "The creation of these stars is for three purposes, and they are: 1) as decoration of the nearest heaven, 2) as missiles to hit the devils, and 3) as signs to guide travellers. So, if anybody tries to find a different interpretation, he is mistaken and just wastes his efforts and troubles himself with what is beyond his limited knowledge. Sahih Al-Bukhari The mountain Qaf that surrounds the earth Abdullah said: Ali bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim told us: Adam bin Abi Ayas told us that a shaykh of Bani Tamim said that Abu Rawq Atiyyah ibn al-harith said that Ikrama said that Ibn Abbas said: 'Allah has created a mountain that is called Qaf, it surrounds the world and its

8 veins extend to the rock on which the earth is. When Allah wants to shake a village, he orders the mountain to move its vein that is close to that village and then he lets it move and shake, so he makes a village shake without making other villages shaking too» Al-Uqubat from Ibn Abi Al-Dunya ح دث ن ا ع ب د الله ق ال : أ خ ب ر ن ا ع ل ي ب ن م ح مد ب ن إ ب ر اھ یم ق ال : أ خ ب ر ن ا آد م ب ن أ ب ي إ ی اس ع ن ش ی خ م ن ب ن ي ت م یم ع ن أ ب ي - ٢٢ ر و ق ع ط ی ة ب ن ال ح ار ث ع ن ع ك ر م ة ع ن اب ن ع ب اس ق ال : «خ ل ق الله ع ز و ج ل ج ب لا ی ق ال ل ھ ق اف م ح یط ب ال ع ال م و ع ر وق ھ إ ل ى ال صخ ر ة ال ت ي ع ل ی ھ ا الا ر ض ف ا ذ ا أ ر اد الله ع ز و ج ل أ ن ی ز ل ز ل ق ر ی ة أ م ر ذ ل ك ال ج ب ل ی ح رك ال ع ر ق ال ذ ي ی ل ي ت ل ك ال ق ر ی ة» ف ی ت ز ل ز ل ھ ا و ی ح رك ھ ا ف م ن ث م ی ح رك ال ق ر ی ة د ون ال ق ر ی ة العقوبات لابن ابي الدنیا Ibn Abi Hatim mentioned that Ibn Abbas said: Allah the exalted created a sea behind this earth that surrounds her, and then he has created a mountain behind it called Qaf and the earthly sky rests upon it and then he has made an earth behind this mountain like this earth, seven times, and made a sea that surrounds it, and then he has made a mountain behind it called Qaf, and the second heaven is on it, until it counted seven seas and seven earths and seven heavens, and this is the meaning of the words of Allah: "with seven more seas added." Luqman: 27 وأخرج ابن أبي حاتم عن ابن عباس قال : خلق الله تعالى من وراء ھذه الا رض بحرا محیطا بھا ثم خلق من وراء ذلك جبلا یقال لھ : ق السماء الدنیا مترفرفة علیھ ثم خلق من وراء ذلك الجبل أرضا مثل تلك الا رض سبع مرات ثم خلق من وراء ذلك بحرا محیطا بھا ثم خلق من وراء ذلك جبلا یقال لھ : ] ص: [ 613 ق السماء الثانیة مترفرفة علیھ. حتى عد [سبع أرضین وسبعة أبحر وسبعة أجبل وسبع سماوات قال : وذلك قولھ : والبحر یمده من بعده سبعة أبحر [لقمان : 27. Ibn Al-Mundhir, Abu Al-Shaykh, Al-Hakim and Ibn Mardawayh have mentioned that Abdullah bin Burayda said about the words of Allah: "Qaf": a mountain of emerald that surrounds the world and on which the heavens are founded. وأخرج ابن المنذر وأبو الشیخ والحاكم وابن مردویھ عن عبد الله بن بریدة في قولھ : ق قال : جبل من زمرد محیط. بالدنیا علیھ كنفا السماء Abd al-razzaq mentioned that Mujahid said: Qaf: a mountain that surrounds the earth.. وأخرج عبد الرزاق عن مجاھد قال : ق جبل محیط بالا رض The sky is a dome The sky is a building: as a suspended ceiling or as a dome. Mut im said from his father on the authority of his grandfather: A nomadic Arab came to the Messenger of (ﷺ) Allah and said: People suffering distress, the children are hungry, the crops are withered, and the animals are perished, so ask Allah to grant us rain, for we seek you as our intercessor with Allah, and Allah as intercessor with you. The Messenger of (ﷺ) Allah said: Woe to you: Do you know what you are saying? Then the Messenger of (ﷺ) Allah declared Allah s glory and he continued declaring His glory till the effect of that was apparent in the faces of his Companions. He then said: Woe to you: Allah is not to be sought as intercessor with anyone. Allah s state is greater than that. Woe to you! Do you know how great Allah is? His throne is above the heavens thus(indicating with his fingers like a dome over it) Sunan Abi Dawud 4726 and Al-Sunnah of Ibn Abi Asim 1/252 and Al-Kabir of Al-Tabarani 2/128 and Al-Sharia of Al-Ajurri 295 and Al-Sifat of Al-Daraqutni 31 عن جبیر بن محمد بن جبیر بن مطعم عن أبیھ عن جده قال : أتى رسول الله صلى الله علیھ وسلم أعرابي فقال یارسول الله جھدت الا نفس وضاعت العیال ونھكت الا موال وھلكت الا نعام فاستسق الله لنا فا نا نستشفع بك على الله ونستشفع با[ علیك. قال رسول الله صلى الله علیھ وسلم: " ویحك أتدري ما تقول " وسبح رسول الله صلى الله علیھ وسلم فما زال یسبح حتى عرف ذلك في وجوه أصحابھ ثم قال " ویحك إنھ لا یستشفع با[ على أحد من خلقھ شا ن الله أعظم من ذلك ویحك أتدري ما " الله إن عرشھ على سمواتھ لھكذا " وقال با صابعھ مثل القبة علیھ أخرجھ أبو داود في سننھ (4726) وابن خزیمة في التوحید (1 239) وابن أبي عاصم في السنة (1 252) والطبراني في (الكبیر (2 128) والا جري في الشریعة (295) والصفات للدارقطني ) 31 Iyas bin Muawiya said: "the sky is covering the earth like a dome." Al-3azama of Abi Al-Shaykh nr540 في العظمة لا بي الشیخ حدثنا إبراھیم بن محمد بن الحسن حدثنا عبید بن آدم حدثنا أبي حدثنا حماد بن سلمة عن إیاس بن معاویة رحمھ - ٥٤٠ «الله تعالى قال:» والسماء مقببة على الا رض مثل القبة Is the Qibla It is also impossible to pray towards the Qibla if the earth were a ball. Will the prayer also be accepted if you pray with your back towards the Qibla? Think about this.
