ح د يث ا لك س اء HADEETH OF THE CLOAK ب س م هللا الر ح من الر ح يم IN THE NAME OF ALLAH AZWJ THE BENEFICENT THE MERCIFUL ع ن ج ابر بن ع ب د اهلل األن ص اري ع ن ف اط م ة الز هراء ع ل يه ا الس الم ب نت ر س ول اهلل )ص ل ى اهلل ع ل ي ه و آل ه وس ل م( ق ا ل س ع ت فاط م ة أ ه نا قال ت: د خ ل ع ل ي أيب ر س ول اهلل )ص ل ى اهلل ع ل ي ه و آل ه وس ل م( ف ب عض األي ام ف ق ال : الس الم ع ل يك يا فاط م ة ف ق لت ع ل يك الس الم قال : إ ي ن أ ج د ف ب د ن ض عفا ف ق لت ل ه : أ ع يذ ك باهلل يا أ ب تاه م ن الض عف ف ق ال : يا فاط م ة إ يتيين ب الك ساء الي ما ن ه ف غ طييين به. ف أ ت يت ه ب الك ساء الي ما ن ه ف غ طييت ه ب ه و ص رت أ نظ ر إ ل ي ه و إ ذا و جه ه ي ت ألأل ك أ ن ه الب در ف ل يل ة متام ه و ك مال ه From Jabir Bin Abdullah Al Ansary, (It has been narrated) from Fatima Al-Zahra asws, daughter of Rasool-Allah saww. (Jabir) said, I heard (Syeda) Fatima asws that she asws said: Rasool-Allah saww came over to me asws during one of the days, so he saww said: Peace be upon you asws, Fatima asws. So I asws said: And upon you saww be peace! He saww said: I saww find weakness in my saww body. So I asws said: I asws seek Refuge for you saww with Allah azwj, O father saww, from the weakness. So he saww said: O Fatima asws! Come to me saww with the Yemeni Cloak and cover me saww with it. So I asws came with the Yemeni Cloak and covered him saww with it, and went on to look at him as, and his saww face was sparkling like the moon on the night of completeness and perfection. ف ما ك ان ت إ الي ساع ة وإذا بو ل د ي احل س ن ق د أ قب ل و قال : الس الم ع ل يك يا أ ي ماه ف ق لت : و ع ل يك الس الم يا ق ر ة ع ي ين و ث ر ة ف ؤاد ي ف قال : يا أ ي ماه إ ي ن أ ش م ع ند ك رائ ح ة ط يهب ة ك أ ن ا رائ ح ة ج د ي ر س ول اهلل )ص ل ى اهلل ع ل ي ه و آل ه وس ل م( ف ق لت : ن ع م إ ن ج د ك ت ت الك ساء ف أ قب ل احل س ن ن و الك ساء و قال : الس الم ع ل يك يا ج د اه يا رس و ل اهلل أ ت أذ ن يل أ ن أ دخ ل م ع ك ت ت الك ساء ف قال : و ع ل يك الس الم يا و ل د ي و يا صاح ب ح وض ي ق د أ ذ ن ت ل ك ف د خ ل م ع ه ت ت الك سا ء. So it was only a while when my asws son asws Al-Hassan asws came over and said: Peace be upon you asws O mother asws! So I asws said: And upon you asws be peace, O delight of my asws eyes and fruit of my asws heart. So he asws said: O mother asws! I asws smell in your asws presence a pleasant fragrance, like the aroma of my asws grandfather saww Rasool-Allah saww! So I asws said: Yes! Your asws grandfather saww is underneath the Cloak. So Al-Hassan asws came near the Cloak and said: Peace be upon you saww, O grandfather saww, O Rasool-Allah saww! Do you permit me asws to enter to be with you saww underneath the Cloak? So he saww said: And upon you asws be peace, O my saww son asws, and O Master of the Fountain! I saww have permitted you asws. So he asws entered to be with him saww underneath the Cloak. 1 out of 5
ف ما كان ت إ الي س اع ة و إ ذا ب و ل د ي احل س ني )ع ل ي ه الس الم( ق د أ قب ل و قال: الس الم ع ل يك يا أ ي ماه ف ق لت : و ع ل ي ك الس الم يا ق ر ة ع ي ين و ث ر ة ف ؤ اد ي ف قال يل : يا أ ي ماه إ ي ن أ ش م ع ند ك رائ ح ة ط يهب ة ك أ ن ا رائ ح ة ج د ي ر س ول اهلل )ص ل ى اهلل ع ل ي ه و آل ه وس ل م( ف ق لت : ن ع م إ ن ج د ك و أ خاك ت ت الك ساء ف د ن ا احل س ني )ع ل ي ه الس الم( نو الك ساء و قال : الس الم ع ل يك يا ج د اه الس الم ع ل يك يا م ن اختار ه اهلل أ ت أذ ن يل أ ن أ كون م ع ك ما ت ت الك ساء ف قال : و ع ل يك الس الم يا و ل د ي و يا شاف ع أ م ت ق د أ ذ نت ل ك ف د خ ل م ع ه ما ت ت الك ساء So it was only a while when my asws son asws Al-Husayn asws came over and said: Peace be upon you asws, O mother asws! So I asws said: And upon you asws be peace, O my asws son asws, and O delight of my asws eyes and fruit of my heart. So he asws said to me asws : I asws smell in your asws presence a pleasant fragrance like the aroma of my asws grandfather Rasool-Allah saww! So I asws said: Yes! Your asws grandfather saww, and your asws brother asws are underneath the Cloak. So he asws approached to be near the Cloak and said: Peace be upon you saww O grandfather saww. Peace be upon you saww O one Chosen by Allah azwj. Do you saww permit me asws that I asws come to be with the both of you asws underneath the Cloak? So he saww said: And upon you asws be peace, O my saww son asws, and O interceder of my saww community, I saww have permitted you asws. So he asws entered to be with them both underneath the Cloak. ف أ قب ل ع ند ذل ك أ بو احل س ن ع ل ي بن أ يب طال ب و قال: الس الم ع ل يك يا ب نت ر س ول اهلل ف ق لت : و ع ل يك الس الم يا أ ب ا احل س ن و يا أ م ري امل ؤم نني. ف قال : يا فاط م ة إ ي ن أ ش م ع ند ك رائ ح ة ط يهب ة ك أ ن ا رائ ح ة أ خي و اب ن ع ي مي ر س و ل اهلل ف ق لت : ن ع م ها ه و م ع و ل د يك ت ت الك ساء ف أقب ل ع ل ي ن و الك ساء و قال : الس الم ع ل يك يا ر س ول ا هلل أ ت أذ ن يل أ ن أ ك ون م ع ك م ت ت الك ساء قال ل ه و ع ل يك الس الم يا أ خ ي و يا و ص يي و خ ل يف ت و صاح ب ل وائ ي ق د أ ذ نت ل ك ف د خ ل ع ل ي ت ت الك ساء So, during that, Abu Al-Hassan Ali asws Bin Abu Talib asws came over and said: Peace be upon you asws, O daughter asws of Rasool-Allah saww. So I asws said: And upon you asws be peace, O Abu Al-Hassan asws, and O Amir-ul-Momineen asws! So he asws said: O Fatima asws! I asws smell in your asws presence a pleasant fragrance like the aroma of my asws brother saww, and son saww of my asws uncle as Rasool-Allah saww. So I asws said: Yes! Here he saww is along with your asws two sons asws underneath the Cloak. So Ali asws went near to the Cloak and said: Peace be upon you saww, O Rasool-Allah saww! Do you saww permit me asws that I asws come to be with you asws all underneath the Cloak? He saww said to him asws : And upon you asws be peace, O my saww brother asws, and O my saww successor asws, and my saww Caliph! I saww have permitted you asws. So Ali asws entered to be underneath the Cloak. ث أ ت يت ن و الك ساء و ق لت : الس الم ع ل يك يا أب تاه يا ر س ول اهلل أ تأذ ن يل أ ن أ كون م ع ك م ت ت الك ساء قال : و ع ليك الس الم يا ب ن ت و يا ب ضع ت ق د أ ذ نت ل ك ف د خ لت ت ت الك ساء Then I asws came near the Cloak and I asws said: Peace be upon you saww, O father saww, O Rasool-Allah saww! Do you saww permit me asws that I asws come to be with you asws all 2 out of 5
underneath the Cloak? He saww said: And upon you asws be peace, O my saww daughter asws, and O part of me saww. I saww have permitted you asws. So I asws entered to be underneath the Cloak. ف ل م ا اكت م لنا ج يعا ت ت الك ساء أ خ ذ أ يب ر س ول اهلل )ص ل ى اهلل ع ل ي ه و آل ه وس ل م( ب ط ر ف الك ساء و أ وم أ ب ي د ه الي مىن إ ىل الس ماء وقال : الليه م إ ن هؤ الء أ هل ب ي ت وخ اص ت و ح ام ت حل م ه م حل م ي و د م ه م د م ي ي ؤل م ين ما ي ؤل م ه م و ي ز ن ين ما ي ز ن ه م أ ن ا ح رب ل م ن حار ب ه م و س لم ل م ن سال م ه م و ع دو ل م ن عاداه م و م ب ل م ن أ ح ب ه م إن ه م م ي ين و أ نا م نه م ف اجع ل ص ل وات ك و ب ر كات ك و ر مح تك وغ فران ك و ر ضوان ك ع ل ي و ع ل يه م و أ ذه ب ع نه م الهرجس و ط هره م ت طه ريا So when we asws were all complete underneath the Cloak, my asws father saww grabbed a part of the Cloak and raised his saww right hand towards the sky, and said: O Allah azwj! These are the People asws of my saww Household, and my saww special ones, my saww supporters. Their asws flesh is my saww flesh, and their asws blood is my saww blood. And it hurts me saww what hurts them asws, and it grieves me saww what grieves them asws. I saww am at war with the ones who are at war with them asws, and at peace with the ones who are peaceful with them asws, and an enemy to the ones who are inimical to them asws, and love the ones who love them asws. They asws are from me saww and I saww am from them asws. Therefore, Make Your azwj Benedictions, and Your azwj Blessings, and Your azwj Mercy, and Your azwj Forgiveness to be upon me saww and upon them asws, and Keep away the uncleanness from them asws, and Keep them Purified with a perfect Purification. ف قال اهلل ع ز و ج ل : يا م الئ ك ت و يا س ك ان س اوايت إ ي ن ما خ ل قت س اء م بن ية و ال أرضا م دحي ة و ال ق م را م نريا و ال ش سا م ضي ئة و ال ف ل كا ي د ور و ال ب را ي ري و ال ف لكا ي سري إ الي ف م ب ة هؤ الء اخل مس ة ال ذين ه م ت ت الك ساء ف قال األ م ني ج ربائ يل : يا ر هب و م ن ت ت الك ساء ف قال ع ز و ج ل : ه م أ هل ب يت الن ب و ة و م عد ن الهرسال ة ه م فاط م ة و أ ب وها و ب عل ها و ب نوها ف قال ج ربائ يل : يا ر هب أ ت أذ ن يل أ ن أ هب ط إىل األ رض أل ك ون م ع ه م ساد سا ف قال اهلل : ن ع م ق د أ ذ نت ل ك So Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Said: O My azwj Angels, and O dwellers of My azwj sky! I azwj did not Create the Raised sky, nor the Stretched earth, nor the luminous moon, nor the shining sun, nor the orbiting planets, nor the flowing oceans, nor the flowing of the ships, except for the Love of these asws five who are underneath the Cloak. So the Trustworthy Jibraeel as said: O Lord azwj! And who are underneath the Cloak? So Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic Said: They asws are the People asws of the Household of the Prophet-hood, and the Mines of the Messenger-ship. They asws are Fatima asws, and her asws father saww, and her asws husband asws and her asws two sons asws! So Jibraeel as said: O Lord azwj! Do You azwj Permit me as to descend to the earth and join them asws as the sixth one? So Allah azwj Said: Yes! I azwj have Permitted you as! 3 out of 5
ف ه ب ط األ م ني ج ربائ يل و قال : الس الم ع ل يك يا ر س ول اهلل الع ل ي األ عل ى ي قر ئ ك الس الم و ي ص ك ب الت ح ي ة و اإل كر ام و ي ق ول ل ك : و ع ز يت و ج اليل إ ي ن ما خ ل قت س اء م بني ة وال أ رضا م دح ي ة و ال ق م را م ن ريا و ال ش سا م ض يئ ة وال ف ل كا ي د ور وال ب را ي ري و ال ف لكا ي سري إ الي ألجل ك م و م ب ت ك م و ق د أ ذ ن يل أ ن أ دخ ل م ع ك م ف ه ل ت أذ ن يل يا ر س ول اهلل ف قال ر س ول اهلل )ص ل ى اهلل ع ل ي ه و آل ه وس ل م(: و ع ل يك الس الم يا أ م ني و حي اهلل إ ن ه ن ع م ق د ب أ ذ نت ل ك ف د خ ل ج ربائ يل م ع نا ت ت الك ساء ف قال أل يب: إ ن اهلل ق د أ وحى إ ل يك م ي قول إ ن ا ي ر يد اهلل ل ي ذ ه ع ن ك م الهرج س أ ه ل ال ب ي ت و ي طهر ك م ت طه ريا So the Trustworthy Jibraeel as descended and said: Peace be upon you saww, O Rasool-Allah saww! The Highest of the High Coveys the Greetings to you saww, and Specialises you saww with the Tribute and Honour, and is Saying to you saww : By My azwj Honour and My azwj Majestic! I azwj did not Create the Raised sky, nor the Stretched earth, nor the luminous moon, nor the shining sun, nor the orbiting planets, nor the flowing oceans, nor the flowing of the ships, except for your asws Sake and your asws Love, and has Permitted me as that I as should enter to be with you asws all. So, do you saww permit me as, O Rasool-Allah saww? So Rasool-Allah saww said: And upon you as be peace, O Trustee of the Revelations of Allah azwj! It (the answer) is yes! I saww have permitted you as. So Jibraeel as entered to be with us asws underneath the Cloak. So he as said to my asws father saww : Allah azwj has Revealed unto you saww and is Saying [33:33] But rather, Allah Desires to Keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! and Keep you Purified with a (perfect) Purification. ف قال : ع ل ي )ع ل ي ه الس الم( أل يب : يا ر س ول اهلل أ خرب ن ما ل ل وس نا ه ذا ت ت الك ساء م ن الف ضل ع ند اهلل ف قا ل الن يب )ص ل ى اهلل ع ل ي ه و آل ه وس ل م(: و ال ذي ب ع ث ين ب احل هق ن ب يا و اصط فا ن ب الهرسال ة ن يا ما ذ ك ر خ ب ر نا هذا ف م ف ل م ن م اف ل أ هل األ ر ض و ف يه ج ع م ن ش يع ت نا و م ب يهنا إ الي و ن ز ل ت ع ل يه م الر مح ة و ح ف ت ب م ال م الئ ك ة و است غف ر ت ل م إ ىل أ ن ي ت ف ر ق وا. ف قال ع ل ي )ع ل ي ه الس الم(: إذ ا و اهلل ف زنا و فاز ش يع تن ا و ر هب الك عب ة So Ali asws said to my asws father saww : O Rasool-Allah saww! Inform me asws, what merit is there for those seated underneath the Cloak, in the Presence of Allah azwj? So the Prophet saww said: By the One azwj Who Sent me saww with the Truth as a Prophet saww, and Chose me saww with the Noble Message, there will not be mentioned this Hadeeth of ours asws in a gathering of the gatherings of the earth, wherein will be gathered our asws Shias and those that love us asws, except that the Mercy would descend upon them, and the Angels would surround them, and seek Forgiveness for them until they disperse. So Ali asws said: Then, by Allah azwj, we asws have succeeded, and our asws Shias have succeeded, by the Lord azwj of the Kaaba!. ف قال أ يب ر س ول اهلل )ص ل ى اهلل ع ل ي ه و آل ه وس ل م(: يا ع ل ي و ال ذي ب ع ث ين ب احل هق ن ب يا و اصط فا ن ب الهرسال ة ن يا ما ذ ك ر خ ب ر نا هذا ف م ف ل م ن م اف ل أ هل األ رض و ف يه ج ع م ن م غم وم إ الي و ك ش ف اهلل غ م ه و ال طال ب حاج ة إ الي و ق ضى اهلل حاج ت ه ش يع ت نا و م ب ي ي نا و ف يه م م هم وم إ الي و ف ر ج اهلل ه ه و ال 4 out of 5
So my asws father saww, Rasool-Allah saww said: O Ali asws! By the One azwj Who Sent me saww with the Truth as a Prophet saww, and Chose me saww with the Noble Message, there will not be mentioned this Hadeeth of ours asws in a gathering of the gatherings of the earth, wherein will be gathered our asws Shias and those that love us asws, and among them would be anxious ones, except that Allah azwj would Relieve them from their anxiety, nor would there be any saddened ones, except that Allah azwj would remove their sadness from them, nor any seekers of needs, except that Allah azwj would Fulfill their needs. ف قال ع ل ي )ع ل ي ه الس الم(: إذ ا و اهلل ف زنا و س ع دنا و ك ذل ك ش يع ت نا ف ازوا و س ع دوا ف الد نيا و اآلخ ر ة و ر هب الك عب ة. So Ali asws said: Then we asws succeed and are happy, and similar to that are our asws Shias who have succeeded and would be happy in the world and the Hereafter, by the Lord azwj of the Kaaba! And Praise is due to Allah azwj the Lord azwj of the Worlds. 5 out of 5
