Abstract Youth revolution between the dream of freedom and the oppression of the conventional reality By: Elham Awadh The protests that took place in 2011 have confirmed the importance of the youth demographic landmarks of the Arab world. Young people often translate the wider social problems into a state of tension. The Arab uprisings also emphasized the economic and political exclusion of many young people who had been deprived being involved in public policies that affect their lives, Yemen was not immune from that. The revolution of February 2011 has broken out against the regime of President Saleh that followed the revolution of youth in Tunisia and Egypt in 2011 (the Arab Spring). The youth revolution,in fact, came to undermine the dreams of autocrats and open the horizons to talk about the future of the Yemeni state as a modern civil state. That is to say, changing the existing political structure and enabling young people to find themselves and their political influence as that of Tunisian and Egyptian youth. Yemen aspires to a real democratic transition based on integrity, transparency and accountability, which absorbs social conflict and transforms it through reform programs into class competition that grants equal opportunities to everyone. New generations are no longer able to maneuver in the maze of sectarian, ethnic, tribal, monopolistic conflict. A[Moreover, new generation will not accept an alternative to transformation, either reformed or revolutionary. However, youth dream, the ceiling of demands and ambition were very complicated among young people in Yemen due to the fact that the youth revolution entered an early stage of labor before it was fully developed, which resulted in a crisis not only local but also expanded to involve the regional environment in the civil war along with the division of political forces in Yemen which also resulted in external, regional and international intervention in the Yemeni affairs. The circle is likely expanding to enter the arena of an international economic, social and political crisis (the war of proving power in the region) مجلة جامعة الناصر 305 السنة ( 7 ) العدد ( 31 ) ( يناير يونيو ) 2019
