Greetings Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think as stated by Albert Einstein. We live in an ever-changing world. It is not only knowledge, occupations and industries that are changing, but also our state of mind. Resilience is no longer an option. It is a vital affective skill that educators and learners must be equipped with. As education is the fuel of mind and trail of the future, and our utmost goal within all its aspects, we shall never stop. Not revolution, neither disaster nor pandemics shall hinder our mission. We stand strong with all tools available. We search, we learn, and we embrace all situations to the best of our learners. E-learning for the current situation is not only our salvation; it is also as Einstein stated, a way of training our mind to think. Through synchronous and asynchronous learning strategies, we ensure that our students explore a journey of cognitive development, digital literacy enrichment and research skills enhancement. MY1 students had the chance to inquire into various concepts related to vaccines, antibiotic and pandemics during their unit with the title Global Health. This came in tandem with the Coronavirus pandemic. As part of the service as action program, Caring Hayaters had the chance to volunteer and participate through kidsboostimmunity.com. This website enabled the students to read and solve mini quizzes related to all the previously mentioned topics. For every quiz that a student passes, Kids Boost Immunity association will give a vaccine donation to UNICEF. A s practitioner researchers, all HIS members wore their researcher's hat and navigated the world virtually looking for the best tools, strategies, and platforms to engage our learners during this pandemic. MY2 students presenting their diagrams during online sessions Quizziz is an online interactive assessment tool that allows teachers to create and use one another s quizzes. After providing students with a unique access code, a quiz can be recorded live as a timed competition. After the quizzes have been completed, students can review their answers. In this picture (or video) MY3 students were doing a math quiz about quadrilaterals. They were assessed after taking this lesson. The quiz was interactive and students competed to answer all questions correctly in the least possible time. Salminicola is a multicellular jellyfish type of parasite that lives inside the flesh of salmon. Of The M nth Pancakes Chocolate, Vanilla, Orange, Chocolate Orange? What better way is there to have proper dessert, than to make a quick good treat that will please everyone? The answer to your quest for a crowd pleaser is simple: pancakes. Pancakes are a simple breakfast staple in many parts of the western world, but to the rest of us it is also a sweet treat that we look for on dessert menus to satisfy that sweet tooth craving. They can be made with different types of flour (whole-wheat, oatmeal, bran ) and can be customized to satisfy both chocolate and vanilla fans. This below recipe is a basic one. It will be a blank canvas that you can customize to please the different tastes and preferences of your family and friends. Ingredients: 1 ½ cups flour 3 ½ tsps. Baking powder ½ tsp. salt 1 tbsp. granulated sugar 1 ¼ cups milk 1 egg 3 tbsps. Oil or melted butter ½ tsp. vanilla (optional) ½ cup chocolate chips (optional) 2 tsps. Orange zest (optional) 1- Prepare a non-stick Teflon pan, wipe it with a dash R ecipe of oil or butter, and put it on low heat. 2- Sift and mix the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in one bowl and make a well in the middle. 3- Mix the egg, milk, oil aside. 4- Add the liquid mixture into the well of dry ingredients and mix until smooth and no lumps are left. 5- Add vanilla for vanilla pancakes (optional) 6- Add chocolate chips for chocolate chip pancakes (optional) 7- Add orange zest for orange pancakes (optional) 8- Add both orange zest and chocolate chips for orange chocolate lovers (optional) 9- Ladle batter onto the hot pan on medium heat. Flip the pancakes once you see bubble appearing on the surface of the pancakes and cook for another one to two minutes. 10- Serve them warm and top them with fruits, honey, cream, or have them plain and enjoy! *pro-tips: -If this is your first time making pancakes, ladle small amounts of batter onto your griddle or pan so that it becomes easier for you to flip them. - If you want to make the different flavored pancakes all at once, divide the batter into different bowls and add flavors to each bowl accordingly.
