1 يونس Yunus 10. ب س م ا لل ال رحم ن ال رح يم In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful. ك يم ١ الر ت لك آيات الك تاب ال 1. Alif. Lam. Ra. These are the Verses of the Wise Book. ذ ر م أن أن نا إ ل رج ل م ن حي ٢ أكان ل ل ناس عجب ا أن أو د ر ب م قال ق ع ن انل اس وب ش ا ل ين آمن وا أ ن ل م قدم ص د إ ن ذا لساح ر م ب ي ال كف ر 2. Is it a wonder to the people that We inspired a man from among them: Warn the people. And give good news to those who believe that they are on a sound footing with their Lord? The disbelievers say, This is an obvious sorcerer. 536

2 ض ف س تة والر ا ل ي خلق ال سماوات ٣ إ ن رب ك م ا لل إ ل م ن ر ما م ن شف يع ش ي دب ر الم أ يام ث م اس توى ل ع العر د إ ذن ذ ل ك م ا لل رب ك بع م فاع د و أف ل تذ ب كر 3. Your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then settled over the Throne, governing all things. There is no intercessor except after His permission. That is Allah, your Lord so worship Him. Will you not reflect? اللق ث م دأ حق ا إ ن يب ٤ إ ل مرج ع ك م ج يع ا وعد ا لل وا ال صال ات ب الق س ط وا ل ين ز ي ا ل ين آمن وا وعم ل ي ع يد ل ج ر ف وا يك أ ل م ب ما كن وا ل م ش اب م ن ح يم وعذاب كفر 4. To Him is your return, altogether. The promise of Allah is true. He originates creation, then He repeats it, to reward those who believe and do good deeds with equity. As for those who disbelieve, for them is a drink of boiling liquid, and agonizing suffering, for having disbelieved. 537

3 و ا ل ي جعل ال شمس ض ياء ا وق در مناز ل ور والقمر ن ق ساب ما خلق ا لل ذ ل ك إ ل ب ال ٥ لم وا عدد الس ن ي وال تل ع ي فص ل ال يات ل قوم يع لم 5. It is He who made the sun radiant, and the moon a light, and determined its phases, so you may know the number of years and the calculation. Allah did not create all this except with truth. He details the revelations for people who know. ف ال سماوات ل وانل ار وما خلق ا لل إ ن ف اخت لف ال لي تق ٦ م ي ض ليات ل قو وال ر 6. In the alternation of night and day, and in what Allah created in the heavens and the earth, are signs for people who are aware. إ ن ا ل ين ل يرج وا يا واط مأن ن ياة ال ل قاءنا ورض وا ب ال عن آيات نا غف ل ٧ ب ا وا ل ين م 7. Those who do not anticipate meeting Us, and are content with the worldly life, and feel secure 538

4 in it, and those who pay no attention to Our signs. س ب وا يك م انل ار ب ما كن وا ٨ أ ول ئ ك مأ 8. These: their dwelling is the Fire, on account of what they used to do. م وا ال صال ات ي د ي م رب ٩ إ ن ا ل ين آمن وا وعم ل ر ي م ن حت ت م الن ار ف ج نات انل ع يم ب إ يمان م ت 9. As for those who believe and do good deeds, their Lord guides them in their faith. Rivers will flow beneath them in the Gardens of Bliss. م وحت يت م ف يا س لم وآخ ر حانك الل ١٠ دعوا م ف يا سب الم د لل رب العالم ي دعوا م أن 10. Their call in it is, Glory be to You, our God. And their greeting in it is, Peace. And the last of their call is, Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Universe! 539

5 ب الي لق ض جال م است ع ل ل ناس ال ش ١١ ولو ي عج ل ا لل ج ون ل قاءنا ف ط غيان م م فنذر ا ل ين ل ير إ ل م أجل يعم 11. Were Allah to speed up the ill for people, as they wish to speed up the good, their term would be fulfilled. But We leave those who do not anticipate Our meeting to blunder in their rebellion. ب أ د عنا ل ن ا ا أو قائ م سان الض و قاع د ١٢ إ وذا مس ال ن ض م س كذ ل ك نا إ ل م ر كأن لم يدع فل ما كشفنا عن ض مل س ف ي ما كن وا يع ز ي ن ل لم 12. When adversity touches the human being, he prays to Us reclining on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have relieved his adversity from him, he goes away, as though he had not called on Us for trouble that had afflicted him. Thus the deeds of the transgressors appear good to them. 540

6 ل ك م ل ما ظلم وا وجاءت م ١٣ ولقد ألكنا الق ر ون م ن قب م ز ي القو وا كذ ل ك ن م ن وا ل ؤ م ب ابل ي نات وما كن ر سل ر م ي ج الم 13. We have destroyed generations before you when they did wrong. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs, but they would not believe. Thus We recompense the guilty people. ض م ن بع د م نل ن ظر الر ١٤ ث م جعلناك م خ لئ ف ف مل كيف تع 14. Then We made you successors on earth after them, to see how you would behave. إ ن نا بي نات قال ا ل ين ل يرجون ل علي م آيات ١٥ إ وذا ت ت آن غي ذا أو بد ل ق ل ما يك ون ل أن ر ل قاءنا ائت ب ق أ بد ل أخاف س إ ن أ تب ع إ ل ما ي و ح إ ل إ ن م ن ت لقاء نف م عظ يم عصيت ر ب عذاب يو 15. And when Our clear revelations are conveyed to them, those who do not anticipate the meeting with Us, say, Bring a Quran other than this, or 541

7 change it. Say, It is not for me to change it of my own accord. I only follow what is revealed to me. I fear, should I disobey my Lord, the suffering of an awesome Day. ت علي ك م و ل أ ما تلو د راك م ب فقد ١٦ ق ل لو شاء ا لل ق ل ل أف ل تع ا م ن قب ر م بل ثت ف يك م ع 16. Say, Had Allah willed, I would not have read it to you, nor would He have made it known to you. I have lived among you for a lifetime before it. Do you not understand? فمن أظ لم م من اف تى ل ع ا لل ١٧ ر م ج م ف ل ح ال إ ن ل ي كذ ب ا أو ك ذب ب آيات 17. Who does more wrong than someone who fabricates lies about Allah, or denies His revelations? The guilty will never succeed. م و ل ينفع م ما ل يض ١٨ ويع ب د ون م ن د ون ا لل ا لل ب ما ل نب ئ ق ل أت ول ون ؤ لء ش فعاؤ نا ع ند ا لل ويق 542

8 ض سب حان وتعا ل ع الر يعلم ف ال سماوات و ل ف ي ش كون ما 18. And they worship, besides Allah, what neither harms them nor benefits them. And they say, These are our intercessors with Allah. Say, Are you informing Allah about something He does not know in the heavens or on earth? Glorified be He, High above the associations they make. وما كن انل اس إ ل أ مة واح دة فاختلف وا ولو ل ك مة ١٩ م ف يما ف ي ي تل ف ن ض بي سبقت م ن رب ك لق 19. Humanity was a single community, but then they differed. Were it not for a prior decree from your Lord, the matters over which they had disputed would have been settled. ز ل علي آية م ن رب فق ل إ نما الغيب ن ل أ لو ٢٠ ويق ول تظ ر ين ن م م م ن ال وا إ ن معك فانتظ ر 20. And they say, If only a miracle was sent down to him from his Lord. Say, The realm of the unseen belongs to Allah. So wait, I am waiting with you. لل 543

9 د ضاء م ست م إ ذا ل م ٢١ إ وذا أذقنا انل اس رح ة م ن بع ما ب ت ا إ ن ر سلنا يك ر مك أ سع مكر ف آيات نا ق ل ا لل ر تمك 21. When We make people taste mercy after some adversity has touched them, they begin to scheme against Our signs. Say, Allah is swifter in scheming. Our envoys are recording what you scheme. ت م ف ح ت إ ذا ك ن ك م ف ال ر و ا ل ي ي سي لك وجرين ب م ب ر يح طي بة وفر ح وا ب ا جاءتا ر يح ب وابلح ٢٢ الف عص ف أ ح يط ب م م مو ج م ن ك م كن وظن وا أ ن وجاء م ال تنا م ن ذ نلك جي ل ال ين لئ ن أن دعو ا ا لل م ل ص ي ال شاك ر ين ن م ن 22. It is He who transports you across land and sea. Until, when you are on ships sailing in a favorable wind, and rejoicing in it, a raging wind appears. The waves surge over them from every side, and they realize that they are besieged. Thereupon they pray to Allah, declaring sincere 544

10 devotion to Him: If You save us from this, we will be of the thankful. ٢٣ أي ا انل اس جا م فل ما أن ض ب غي ق يا ال الر ف غ إ ذا م يب نيا ث م الياة ال س ك م متاع ف ك م ل ع أن إ نما بغي مل م تع ت ن م ب ما ك ك نب ئ م فن ك ج ع إ ل نا مر 23. But then, when He has saved them, they commit violations on earth, and they oppose justice. O, people! Your violations are against your own souls. It is the enjoyment of the present life. Then to Us is your return, and We will inform you of what you used to do. إ نما مثل ال يا كماء أن زنل ا م ن ال سماء ياة ال ن ٢٤ والن عام ح ت إ ذا ض م ما يأ ك ل انل اس فاختلط ب نبات الر ا أ ن م قاد ر ل فا وا ز ينت وظ ن أ ر ز خ ال رض أخذت نا ل ل أو نار ا فجعلناا حص يد ا كأن لم ا أتاا أمر علي م يتف فص ل ال يات ل قو س كذ ل ك ن تغن ب ال م كر 24. The parable of the present life is that of water that We send down from the sky is absorbed by the plants of the earth, from which people and 545

11 animals eat. Until, when the earth puts on its fine appearance, and it is beautified, and its inhabitants think they have gained mastery over it, Our command descends on it by night or by day, and We turn it into a mown field as if it had not flourished the day before. Thus We clarify the communications for a people who reflect. د ي من يشاء إ ل ص اط وا لل يد ع و إ ل دار ال س لم وي 25. Allah invites to the Home of Peace, and He guides whomever He wills on a straight path. ٢٥ م س تق يم سن وا ال س ن وز يادة ل ل ين أح ق ت و ل ير ق و جو م ٢٦ و ل ذ ل ة أ ول ئ ك أص حاب ال م ف يا خال نة 26. For those who do good is goodness and more. Neither gloom nor shame will cover their faces. These are the inhabitants of Paradise, abiding in it forever. 546

12 ٢٧ ذ ل ة ما ل م وا ال سي ئات جزاء سي ئة ب م ثل ا وترق م وا ل ين كسب ا م ق طع ش يت و جو غ م ن ا لل م ن عص م كأ نما أ م ف يا خال ول ئ ك أص حاب انل ار ا أ ظ ل م م ن الل يل م 27. As for those who commit evil: a reward of similar evil; and shame will overcome them. They will have no defender against Allah as if their faces are covered with dark patches of night. These are the inmates of the Fire, abiding in it forever. م نق ول ل ل ين أشك وا م كنك م ا ث ج يع م ش ٢٨ ويوم ن ك م ف ت م إ ي انا ن ما ك م ن م وقال ش كؤ أنت م وش كؤ ز يلنا بي د ون تعب 28. On the Day when We gather them all together, then We say to those who ascribed partners, To your place, you and your partners. Then We will separate between them, and their partners will say, It was not us you were worshiping. ا بيننا وبينك م إ ن ك نا عن ٢٩ فك ف ب ا لل ش يد ع بادت ك م لغاف ل ي 547

13 29. Allah is a sufficient witness between us and you. We were unaware of your worship. و ك نفس ما أس لفت ور د وا إ ل ا لل ل نال ك تب ت وا يف م ما كن ل عن ل م مو ٣٠ ال ق وض 30. There and then, every soul will experience what it had done previously. And they will be returned to Allah, their True Master. And what they used to invent will abandon them. ك م م ن ال سماء وال رض أ من يمل ك ق ز ق ل من ير صار ومن ي ر ج ب مي ت خ ر ج ال مي ت وي ال ح م ن ال ل أف ل ت فق ا لل ول تق ٣١ ال سمع وال م ن ال ح ومن ي دب ر المر فسيق 31. Say, Who provides for you from heaven and earth? And who regulates the hearing and the sight? And who produces the living from the dead, and produces the dead from the living? And who governs the Order? They will say, Allah. Say, Will you not be cautious? ق إ ل ال ض لل د ال ق فماذا بع رب ك م ال م ا لل ٣٢ فذ ل ك فأ ن ت صف 548

14 32. That is Allah, your true Lord. What is there, beyond truth, except error? How are you turned away? كذ ل ك ح قت ك مت رب ك ل ع ا ل ين فسق وا أ م ل ن 33. Thus the Word of your Lord proved true against those who disobeyed, for they do not believe. م من ي ق ل ل م ن ش كئ ك لق ث م ي ع يد فأ ن ٣٣ م ن ي ؤ بدأ فك ت ؤ لق ث م ي ع يد ق ل ا لل ال ٣٤ ال دأ يب 34. Say, Can any of your partners initiate creation, and then repeat it? Say, Allah initiates the creation, then He repeats it. How can you be so deluded? ال ق ل ا لل ٣٥ ق ل ل م ن ش كئ ك م من يد ي إ ل ق ت بع أ من ل أحق أن ي د ي إ ل ال ق يد ي ل لحق أفمن ي م ك ف حت دى فما لك م كي ي د ي إ ل أن ي 35. Say, Can any of your partners guide to the truth? Say, Allah guides to the truth. Is He who 549

15 guides to the truth more deserving of being followed, or he who does not guide, unless he himself is guided? What is the matter with you? How do you judge? ٣٦ وما يت ب ع أك عل ا إ ن ا لل عل يم ب ما يف شيئ م إ ل ظن ا إ ن الظ ن ل ي غ ن م ن ال ث ق 36. Most of them follow nothing but speculations, and speculations can in no way replace the truth. Allah is fully aware of what they do. ول ك ن وما كن ذا الق رآن أن ي ف تى م ن د ون ا لل ب ف ي م ن رب ص يل الك تاب ل ري يدي وتف ٣٧ تص د يق ا ل ي بي العالم ي 37. This Quran could not have been produced by anyone other than Allah. In fact, it is a confirmation of what preceded it, and an elaboration of the Book. There is no doubt about it it is from the Lord of the Universe. ٣٨ أم يق ا لل إ ن ك ت م م ن د اس تطع وا من ع ل واد وا ب س ورة م ث ت ل فأ اف تا ق ول م صاد ق ي ت ن 550

16 38. Or do they say, He made it up? Say, Then produce a single chapter like it, and call upon whomever you can, apart from Allah, if you are truthful. ت م تأو يل ٣٩ بل ك ذب وا ب ما لم ي يط وا ب ع لم ول ما يأ كذ ل ك ك ذب ا ل ين م ن قبل م فانظ ر كيف كن عق بة ال ظال م ي 39. In fact, they deny what is beyond the limits of their knowledge, and whose explanation has not reached them. Thus those before them refused to believe. So note the consequence for the wrongdoers. م ن ب ورب ك أعلم ؤ م من ل ي ؤ م ن ب وم ن ٤٠ وم ن م من ي س د ين ف ب الم 40. And among them are those who believe in it, and among them are those who do not believe in it. Your Lord fully knows the mischief-makers. م ت ٤١ إ ون ك ذب وك فق ل ل عم ل ولك م عمل ك م أن مل بر يئ ون م ما أع مل وأنا بر يء م ما تع 551

17 41. And if they accuse you of lying, say, I have my deeds, and you have your deeds. You are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what you do. ت ت م ع س إ ل ك أفأن ٤٢ وم ن م من يستم ع ق ل كن وا ل يع الص م ولو 42. And among them are those who listen to you. But can you make the deaf hear, even though they do not understand? م د ي الع ت ت وم ن م من ين ظ ر إ ل ك أفأن وا ل ولو كن ون ٤٣ 43. And among them are those who look at you. But can you guide the blind, even though they do not see? ص ي ب ٤٤ يظ ل م إ ن ا لل ل يظ ل م انل اس شيئ ا ول ك ن انل اس أنف س م 44. Allah does not wrong people in the least, but people wrong their own selves. 552

18 وا إ ل ساعة م ن انل ار كأن لم يلبث م ش ٤٥ ويوم ي وما كن وا ن م قد خ س ا ل ين ك ذب وا ب ل قاء ا لل يتعارف ون بي تد ين م 45. On the Day when He gathers them as if they had stayed for only an hour of a day acquainting themselves with one another. Lost are those who denied the meeting with Allah, and were not guided. ض ا ل ي نع د م أو نتو ٤٦ إ و ما ن ر ي نك بع عل ش يد ل ع ما يف م ا لل م ث مرج ع نك فإ ل نا في 46. Whether We show you some of what We promised them, or We retrieve you to Us is their return. Allah is witness over everything they do. ٤٧ ول ك أ مة رس ول فإ ذا جاء رس ول م ق ض بين م ب الق س ط و م ل ي ظلم 47. For every community is a messenger. When their messenger has come, judgment will be passed between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. 553

19 م صاد ق ي ت ن د إ ن ك وع م ت ذا ال ويق ول 48. And they say, When will this promise be fulfilled if you are truthful? ٤٨ ل ا إ ل ما شاء ا لل ك ع ا و ل نف س ض ٤٩ ق ل ل أم ل ك نل ف ساعة و ل خ ر م ف ل يستأ أ مة أجل إ ذا جاء أجل د م يس تق 49. Say, I have no power to harm or benefit myself, except as Allah wills. For every nation is an appointed time. Then, when their time has arrived, they cannot delay it by one hour, nor can they advance it. ا ماذا ا أو نار ت م إ ن أتاك م عذاب بيات ٥٠ ق ل أرأي ر م ج م يس تع ج ل م ن ال 50. Say, Have you considered? If His punishment overtakes you by night or by day, what part of it will the guilty seek to rush? ج ل م ب تس تع ت ن م ب آل ن وقد ك ت ٥١ أث م إ ذا ما وقع آمن 554

20 51. Then, when it befalls, will you believe in it? Now? When you tried to rush it? ل ت وق وا عذاب ال ل وا ذ ٥٢ ث م ق يل ل ل ين ظلم س ب ت م تك ب ما ك ن ن إ ل زو 52. Then it will be said to those who did wrong, Taste the torment of eternity. Are you not repaid except for what you used to commit? ويس تنب ئ ونك أحق و ق ل إ ي ور ب إ ن لق وما أنت م ٥٣ ج ز ين ب م ع 53. And they inquire of you, Is it true? Say, Yes, by my Lord, it is true, and you cannot prevent it. ض لف تدت ب الر ن ل ك نفس ظلمت ما ف ن م ب الق س ط و م ض بي ا العذاب وق ما رأو ٥٤ ولو أ وأ س وا انل دامة ل ل ي ظ لم 54. If each soul that has done injustice possessed all that the earth contains, it would offer it as ransom. They will hide the remorse when they see the suffering, and it will be judged 555

21 between them equitably, and they will not be wronged. ٥٥ أ ل إ ن لل ما ف ال سماوات وال رض أ ل إ ن وعد ا لل لم ث م ل يع حق ول ك ن أك 55. Certainly, to Allah belongs everything in the heavens and the earth. Certainly, the promise of Allah is true. But most of them do not know. جع ر م يت إ و ل ت و ي ي وي 56. He gives life, and He causes death. And to Him, you will be returned. ٥٦ ٥٧ ل ما ف يا أي ا انل اس جاءتك م موع ظة م ن رب ك م قد م ن ي ؤ د ى ورح ة ل لم الص د ور و وش فاء 57. O, people! There has come to you advice from your Lord, and healing for what is in the hearts, and guidance and mercy for believers. ٥٨ يمع ل ب فض ق ل ا لل و رح وا وب رح ت فب ذ ل ك فليف م ما خي 556

22 58. Say, In Allah s grace and mercy let them rejoice. That is better than whatever they accumulate. ٥٩ ق أرأيت م ل حرام ا وح ل ل ق ل آ لل أذ ن لك ما أنزل ا لل لك م م ن ر زق فجعلت م م ن م أم ل ع ا لل تف ت 59. Say, Have you considered the sustenance that Allah sent down for you, some of which you made unlawful, and some lawful? Say, Did Allah give you permission, or are you fabricating lies and attributing them to Allah? م الق يامة إ ن الكذ ب يو ل ع ا لل ٦٠ وما ظن ا ل ين يف ت ر ث م ل يشك ل ع انل اس ول ك ن أك و فض ل ا لل ل 60. What will those who fabricate lies against Allah think on the Day of Resurrection? Allah is bountiful towards people, but most of them are not thankful. ن وما تت مل آن و ل تع ر و م ن م ن ق ل ٦١ وما تك ون ف شأ إ ل ك نا عليك م ش ود ا إ ذ ت ف يض ون ف ي وما يعز ب م ن عمل 557

23 عن رب ك م ن م ثقال ذ ب ي ب إ ل ف ك تاب م م ن ذ ل ك و ل أك ض و ل ف ال سماء و ل أص غر رة ف ال ر 61. You do not get into any situation, nor do you recite any Quran, nor do you do anything, but We are watching over you as you undertake it. Not even an atom s weight, on earth or in the sky, evades your Lord, nor is there anything smaller or larger, but is in a clear record. زن م ي علي م و ل ل خوف ل اء ا لل ٦٢ أ ل إ ن أو 62. Unquestionably, Allah s friends have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. وا ي ا ل ين آمن وا و كن تق 63. Those who believe and protect themselves. ٦٣ د يل الخ رة ل تب يا و ف ن الياة ال ٦٤ ل م الب ش ى ف و الفوز العظ يم ل ك مات ا لل ذ ل ك 64. For them is good news in this life, and in the Hereafter. There is no alteration to the words of Allah. That is the supreme triumph. 558

24 م إ ن الع زة لل ل ك قو ن ٦٥ و ل يز العل يم ا و ال سم يع ج يع 65. And let not their speech dishearten you. All power is Allah s. He is the Hearer, the Knower. ال رض وما يت ب ع ٦٦ أ ل إ ن لل م ن ف ال سماوات ومن ف إ ل الظ ن إ ون إ ن يت ب ع ش كء ا ل ين يد ع ون م ن د ون ا لل م إ ل ي ر صون 66. Certainly, to Allah belongs everyone in the heavens and everyone on earth. Those who invoke other than Allah do not follow partners; they follow nothing but assumptions, and they only guess. ٦٧ ص م ب و ا ل ي جعل لك م م يسمع ا إ ن ف ذ ل ك ليات ل قو وا ف ي وانل ار ن ل ل تس ك الل ي 67. It is He who made the night for your rest, and the daylight for visibility. Surely in this are signs for people who listen. 559

25 ٦٨ ل ما ف و الغ ن ا سب حان ول قال وا ا تذ ا لل ض إ ن ع ب ذا ر ندك م م ن سلطان ال سماوات وما ف ال ول ون ل ع ا لل أتق ما ل تعلم 68. They said, Allah has taken a child. Be He glorified. He is the Self-Sufficient. His is everything in the heavens and everything on earth. Do you have any proof of this? Or are you saying about Allah what you do not know? ٦٩ ل ع ا لل ق ل إ ن ا ل ين يف ت ل ح ون الكذ ب ل ي ف 69. Say, Those who fabricate lies about Allah will not succeed. ٧٠ م إ ل نا مرج ع م ث يا ث ن متاع ف ال ر ف ال شد يد ب ما كن وا يك م العذاب ذ يق م ن 70. Some enjoyment in this life, then to Us is their return, then We will make them taste the severe suffering on account of their disbelief. م إ ن كن ك ب وح إ ذ قال ل قوم يا قو ٧١ واتل علي م نبأ ن ع وا ت فأ ج فع ل ا لل تو ك علي ك م مقا م وتذك ي ي ب آيات ا لل 560

26 كءك م ث م ل يك ن أمر ك م عليك م غ مة ث م أمرك م وش ظ ر ن اقض وا إ ل و ل ت 71. And relate to them the story of Noah, when he said to his people, O my people, if my presence among you and my reminding you of Allah s messages is too much for you, then in Allah I have put my trust. So come to a decision, you and your partners, and let not the matter perplex you, then carry out your decision against me, and do not hold back. ر ي إ ل ل ع ر إ ن أج م م ن أج ك م فما سأتل ت فإ ن تو ل س ل م ي م ت أن أك ون م ن ال ٧٢ ا لل وأ م ر 72. But if you turn away, I did not ask you for any wage. My wage falls only on Allah, and I was commanded to be of the Submitters. ٧٣ فك ذب و فن جينا ومن مع ف الف لك وجعلنا م ف كن عق بة وا ب آيات نا فان ظ ر كي نا ا ل ين ك ذب خ لئ ف وأغرق ذر ين ن الم 561

27 73. But they denounced him, so We saved him and those with him in the Ark, and We made them successors, and We drowned those who rejected Our signs. So consider the fate of the forewarned. م بعثنا م ن بعد ر س ٧٤ ث وا ب ما ك م ن فما كن وا ل ؤ تد ين ع م وب ال ق ل ي نا ت م ب ابل و م م فجاء ل إ ل قو وا ب م ن قب ل كذ ل ك نط بع ل ع ذب 74. Then, after him, We sent messengers to their people. They came to them with clear proofs, but they would not believe in anything they had already rejected. Thus We seal the hearts of the hostile. ن وملئ عو إ ل ف ر نا م ن بع د م م و س وار ٧٥ ث م بعث ا م ر م ي م وا قو وا و كن ب ب آيات نا فاس تك 75. Then, after them, We sent Moses and Aaron with Our proofs to Pharaoh and his dignitaries. But they acted arrogantly. They were sinful people. ق م ن م ال فل ما جاء ع ند نا قال وا إ ن ذا لس ح ر م ب ي ٧٦ 562

28 76. And when the truth came to them from Us, they said, This is nothing but plain magic. ل لحق ل ول ٧٧ قال م و س أتق ي ف ل ح ال ساح ر م أس ح ر ذا و ل ما جاءك 77. Moses said, Is this what you say about the truth when it has come to you? Is this magic? Magicians do not succeed. آباءنا وتكون تنا تل لف تنا ع ما وجدنا علي ٧٨ قال وا أج ئ م ن ي ما ب م ؤ ال رض وما نن لك لك ما الك ب ياء ف 78. They said, Did you come to us to divert us from what we found our ancestors following, and so that you become prominent in the land? We will never believe in you. و ن ب ك ل ساح ر عل يم ت ن ائ وقال ف رعو 79. Pharaoh said, Bring me every experienced magician! لق م م ت وا ما أن و س ألق م م فل ما جاء ال سحرة قال ل ٧٩ ٨٠ 563

29 80. And when the magicians came, Moses said to them, Throw whatever you have to throw! فل ما ألقوا قال م و س ما ج ئ ت م ب الس ح ر إ ن ا لل ٨١ س د ين ف م ص ل ح عمل ال إ ن ا لل ل ي سي بط ل 81. And when they threw, Moses said, What you produced is magic, and Allah will make it fail. Allah does not foster the efforts of the corruptors. وي ح ق ا لل ال ر م ج م ق ب كل مات ولو كر ال 82. But Allah affirms the truth with His words, even though the guilty hate it. فما آمن ل م و س إ ل ذ ر ية م ن قوم ل ع خوف م ن ال رض إ ون ن لعال ف عو ت ن م إ و ن ف ر ن وملئ م أن يف ٨٢ ٨٣ ف رعو س ف ي لم ن الم 83. But none believed in Moses except some youths of his people, for fear that Pharaoh and his chiefs would persecute them. Pharaoh was high and mighty in the land. He was a tyrant. 564

30 إ ن وقال م و س يا قوم إ ن ك نت م آمنت م ب ا لل فعلي تو ك وا ٨٤ س ل م ي م م ت ك ن 84. Moses said, O my people! If you have believed in Allah, then trust in Him, if you are submitters. ٨٥ ال ظال م ي وا ل ع ا لل فقال نا ر تو ك م نة ل لقو علنا ف ت بنا ل ت 85. They said, In Allah we trust. Our Lord, do not make us a temptation for the wrongdoing people. م ال كف ر ين و ن نا ب رح ت ك م ن القو 86. And deliver us, by Your mercy, from the unbelieving people. و س وأخ ي أن تبو نا إ ل م وأوحي آ ل قوم ك ما ب م ص ٨٦ ٨٧ م ن ي ؤ م وا ال ص لة وب ش ال لة وأق يم م ق ب وتك ي وا ب عل ا واج وت ب ي 87. And We inspired Moses and his brother: Appoint for your people houses in Egypt, and 565

31 make your homes places of worship, and perform the prayer, and give good news to the believers. وقال م و س رب نا إ ن ك آتيت ف رعون وم ل ز ينة يا رب نا ل ض ل وا عن سب يل ك رب نا اطم س ن الياة ال ف وا ح ت يرو ا العذاب م ن ؤ ل ع ق ل وب م ف ل ي ٨٨ وأموا ل وال م واش د د ل ع أم ال ل م 88. Moses said, Our Lord, you have given Pharaoh and his notables luxuries and riches in the worldly life. Our Lord, for them to lead away from Your path. Our Lord, obliterate their wealth, and harden their hearts they will not believe until they see the painful punishment. ك ما فاس تق يما و ل تت ب عان سب يل وت ج يبت دع قال قد أ ٨٩ ا ل ين ل يعلم 89. He said, Your prayer is answered. So go straight, and do not follow the path of those who do not know. 566

32 ح ر فأتبع م ف رعون وج ن ود ٩٠ وجاوزنا ب ب ن إ سائ يل ابل ا ح ت إ ذا أدرك الغرق قال آمن ت أ ن ل إ ل إ ل و ا وعد بغي ل م ي س م و إ سائ يل وأنا م ن ال ا ل ي آمنت ب بن 90. And We delivered the Children of Israel across the sea. Pharaoh and his troops pursued them defiantly and aggressively. Until, when he was about to drown, he said, I believe that there is no god except the One in whom the Children of Israel believe, and I am of those who submit. س د ين ف م ت م ن ال ن ل وك ت قب آل ن وقد عصي 91. Now? When you have rebelled before, and were of the mischief-makers? ٩١ ل من خلفك آية إ ون نج يك ب بدن ك تل ك م ن ٩٢ فا لو كث ي ا م ن انل اس عن آيات نا لغاف ل 92. Today, We will preserve you in your body, so that you become an example for those after you. But most people are negligent of Our examples. 567

33 نا م م ن ق ورزق وأ ص د ب نا ب ن إ سائ يل م ٩٣ ولقد ب وأ ض وا ح ت جاء م الع لم إ ن رب ك يق ال طي بات فما اختلف وا ف ي ي تل ف م الق يامة ف يما كن بين م يو 93. And We settled the Children of Israel in a position of honor, and We provided them with good things. They did not differ until knowledge came to them. Your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection regarding their differences. ٩٤ فإ ن ك نت ف شك م ما أن زنلا إ ل ك فاسأل ا ل ين ال ق م ن رب ك ف ل ل ك لقد جاءك الك تاب م ن قب يقرء ت ين م م تك ون ن م ن ال 94. If you are in doubt about what We revealed to you, ask those who read the Scripture before you. The truth has come to you from your Lord, so do not be of those who doubt. ٩٥ ال ا س ين و ل تك ون ن م ن ا ل ين ك ذب وا ب آيات ا لل فتك ون م ن 568

34 95. And do not be of those who deny Allah s messages, lest you become of the losers. م ن ؤ إ ن ا ل ين ح قت علي م ك مت رب ك ل ي 96. Those against whom your Lord s Word is justified will not believe. عذاب ال ل م م ك آية ح ت يرو ا ال ولو جاءت ٩٦ ٩٧ 97. Even if every sign were to come to them until they see the agonizing suffering. ٩٨ فلو ل كنت قر ية آمنت فنفعا إ يمان م عذاب ال زي ف ال نا عن وا كشف ل ما آمن نا م إ ل ح ي وم تع س م ي ا إ ل قو يا ن ياة ال 98. If only there was one town that believed and benefited by its belief. Except for the people of Jonah. When they believed, We lifted from them the suffering of disgrace in this worldly life, and We gave them enjoyment for a while. ٩٩ ولو شاء رب ت ك ر انل اس ح ت يك ون ت ا أفأن م ج يع ض ك ك لمن من ف ال ر م ن ي ؤ وا م 569

35 99. Had your Lord willed, everyone on earth would have believed, all together. Would you compel people to become believers? س ويجعل الر ج م ن إ ل ب إ ذن ا لل ؤ وما كن نل فس أن ت ين ل يعق ل ١٠٠ ل ع ا ل 100. No soul can believe except by Allah s permission. And He lays disgrace on those who do not reason. ن غ ض وما ت وا ماذا ف ال سماوات وال ر ظ ر ١٠١ ق ل ان م ن ؤ م ل ي ر عن قو ال يات وانل ذ 101. Say, Consider all that is in the heavens and on earth. But neither signs nor warnings avail a people who do not believe. ا م ن قبل م ق ل ل أ يام ا ل ين خلو إ ل م ث ١٠٢ فل ينتظ ر تظ ر ين ن م وا إ ن معك م م ن ال فانتظ ر 102. Are they waiting for anything but the likes of the days of those who passed away before them? Say, So wait I am waiting with you. 570

36 ج ن نا ن ا علي ن ج ر سلنا وا ل ين آمن وا كذ ل ك حق ث م ن 103. Then We save Our messengers and those who believe. It is binding on Us to save the believers. ١٠٣ م ن ي ؤ الم ا ف ل أعب د ق ل يا أي ١٠٤ انل اس إ ن ك نت م ف شك م ن د ي ن ب د ا لل ا ل ي ول ك ن أع ا ل ين تع ب د ون م ن د ون ا لل م ن ي ؤ م م ن ال م ر ت أن أك يتو فاك م وأ 104. Say, O people! If you are in doubt about my religion I do not worship those you worship below Allah. But I worship Allah, who will terminate your lives. And I was commanded to be of the believers. ا و ل تك ك ل ل ين حن يف وأن أق م وج ن م ن ١٠٥ ش ك ي الم 105. And dedicate yourself to the true religion a monotheist and never be of the associators. 571

37 ع م ن و ل تد د ون ا لل ك فإ ن ك و ل يض ما ل ينفع ١٠٦ فعلت فإ ن ك إ ذ ا م ن ال ظال م ي 106. And do not call, besides Allah, on what neither benefits you nor harms you. If you do, you will be of the wrongdoers. ب ض ف ل كش ف ل إ ل إ ون يم سسك ا لل ك ر د و إ ون ي و ص يب ب من يشاء م ن ع باد و ١٠٧ ب ي ف ل را د ل فض ل ي الغف ور ال رح يم 107. If Allah touches you with harm, none can remove it except He. And if He intends good for you, none can hold back His grace. He makes it fall on whomever He wills of His servants. He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. ا انل اس ق ل يا أي ق د جاءك م فم ن ق م ن رب ك م ال ١٠٨ س ومن ض تد ي نل ف اتدى فإ نما ي أنا عليك م ب وك يل ا وما ل فإ نما يض ل علي 108. Say, O people! The truth has come to you from your Lord. Whoever is guided, is guided for 572

38 himself. And whoever strays, strays only against himself. And I am not a guardian over you. و و خي و ح إ ل ك واص ب وات ب ع ما ي ح ت يك م ا لل ١٠٩ ال اك م ي 109. And follow what is revealed to you, and be patient until Allah issues His judgment. And He is the Best of judges. 573
