And Ali ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ used to place his right palm over the left wrist except when he wanted to scratch his skin or arrange his clothes (he would lift it then). He said, I slept across the bed, and Allah's Apostle along with his wife slept lengthwise. Allah's Apostle ( ہللا عليه و آله وسلم (صلى slept till midnight or slightly before or after it. Then Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى woke up, sat, and removed the traces of sleep by rubbing his hands over his face. Then he recited the last ten verses of Sura Aal-e-Imran. Then he went towards a hanging leather water container and performed a perfect ablution and then stood up for prayer. Abdullah bin Abbas ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ added, I got up and did the same as Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى had done and then went and stood by his side. Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى then put his right hand over my head and caught my right ear and twisted it. He offered two rak`a, then two rak`a, then two rak`a, then two rak`a, then two rak`a, then two rak`a and then offered one rak`a witr. Then he lay down till the Mu'adhdhin came and then he prayed two light rak`a and went out and offered Fajr prayer. CHAPTER (2) باب م ا ي ن ه ى ع ن ه م ن ال ك ال م ف ي الص ال ة What speech is prohibited during Salah Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 002 ح د ث ن ا اب ن ن م ي ر ح د ث ن ا اب ن ف ض ي ل ح د ث ن ا األ ع م ش ع ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن ع ل ق م ة ع ن ع ب د للا رضى ہللا عنه ق ال ك ن ا ن س ل م ع ل ى الن ب ي صلى ہللا عليه وسلم و ه و ف ي الص ال ة ف ي ر د ع ل ي ن ا ف ل م ا ر ج ع ن ا م ن ع ن د الن ج اش ي س ل م ن ا ع ل ي ه ف ل م ي ر د ع ل ي ن ا و ق ا ل " إ ن ف ي الص ال ة ش غ ال ". (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) narrated that they used to greet the Prophet (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) Abdullah while he was praying and he used to answer our greetings. When we returned from An-Najashi (the ruler of Ethiopia), we greeted him, but he did not answer us (during the prayer) and (after finishing the prayer) he said, in the prayer one is occupied (with a more serious matter). 7 صلى ہللا ( Prophet narrated the same as in Hadith # 2 above from the (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) Abdullah (عليه و آله وسلم Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 004 ح د ث ن ا إ ب ر اه يم ب ن م وس ى أ خ ب ر ن ا ع يس ى ه و اب ن ي ون س ع ن إ س م اع يل ع ن ال ح ار ث ب ن ش ب ي ل ع ن أ ب ي ع م ر و الش ي ب ان ي ق ال ق ا ل ل ي ز ي د ب ن أ ر ق م إ ن ك ن ا ل ن ت ك ل م ف ي الص ال ة ع ل ى ع ه د الن ب ي صلى ہللا عليه وسلم ي ك ل م أ ح د ن ا ص اح ب ه ب ح اج ت ه ح ت ى ن ز ل ت }ح اف ظ وا ع ل ى الص ل و ات { اآلي ة ف أ م ر ن ا ب الس ك وت. صلى ہللا عليه و آله ( Prophet narrated that in the lifetime of the (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) Zaid bin Arqam we used to speak while praying, and one of us would tell his needs to his companions, till (وسلم the verse ح اف ظ وا ع ل ى الص ل و ات [Guard your prayers with care] (Al-Baqara -238) was revealed. After that we were ordered to remain silent while praying. Sahl bin Sa`d ( ہللا تعالی عنہ (رضئ narrated that the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى went out to affect a reconciliation between the tribes of Bani Amr bin Auf and the time of the prayer became due. صلى ہللا عليه و ( Prophet and said, the (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) went to Abu Bakr (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) Bilal replied, (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) is held up, will you lead the people in the prayer? Abu Bakr (آله وسلم رضئ ہللا تعالی ( Bakr pronounced the Iqama and Abu (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) "Yes, if you wish. So Bilal came crossing the rows (of (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) led the prayer. In the meantime the Prophet (عنہ رضئ ( Bakr the praying people) till he stood in the first row and the people started clapping. Abu never looked hither and thither during the prayer but when the people clapped too (ہللا تعالی عنہ much, he looked back and saw the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى in the (first) row. The Prophet raised (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) waved him to remain at his place, but Abu Bakr (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) 3

8 (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) both his hands and sent praises to Allah and then retreated and the Prophet went forward and led the prayer. CHAPTER (4) باب م ن س م ى ق و م ا أ و س ل م ف ي الص ال ة ع ل ى غ ي ر ه م و اج ه ة و ه و ال ي ع ل م Whoever named some people or greeted somebody during Salah Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 006 ح د ث ن ا ع م ر و ب ن ع يس ى ح د ث ن ا أ ب و ع ب د الص م د ع ب د ال ع ز يز ب ن ع ب د الص م د ح د ث ن ا ح ص ي ن ب ن ع ب د الر ح م ن ع ن أ ب ي و ائ ل ع ن ع ب د للا ب ن م س ع ود رضى ہللا عنه ق ال ك ن ا ن ق ول الت ح ي ة ف ي الص ال ة و ن س م ي و ي س ل م ب ع ض ن ا ع ل ى ب ع ض ف س م ع ه ر س ول للا صلى ہللا عليه وسلم ف ق ا ل " ق ول وا الت ح ي ات ل ل و الص ل و ات و الط ي ب ات الس ال م ع ل ي ك أ ي ه ا الن ب ي و ر ح م ة للا و ب ر ك ات ه الس ال م ع ل ي ن ا و ع ل ى ع ب اد للا الص ال ح ين أ ش ه د أ ن ال إ ل ه إ ال للا و أ ش ه د أ ن م ح م د ا ع ب د ه و ر س ول ه ف إ ن ك م إ ذ ا ف ع ل ت م ذ ل ك ف ق د س ل م ت م ع ل ى ك ل ع ب د ل ل ص ال ح ف ي الس م اء و األ ر ض ". Abdullah bin Mas`ud ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated we used to say the greeting, name and greet الت ح ي ات ل ل - say heard it and said, (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) each other in the prayer. Allah's Apostle و الص ل و ات و الط ي ب ات الس ال م ع ل ي ك أ ي ه ا الن ب ي و ر ح م ة للا و ب ر ك ات ه الس ال م ع ل ي ن ا و عل ى ع ب اد للا الص ال ح ين أ ش ه د أ ن ال إ ل ه إ ال للا [All the compliments are for Allah and all the prayers and all the good و أ ش ه د أ ن م ح م د ا ع ب د ه و ر س ول ه things (are for Allah). Peace be on you, O Prophet, and Allah's mercy and blessings (on you). And peace be on us and on the good (pious) servants of Allah. I testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His servant and Apostle.] So, when you have said this, then you have surely sent the greetings to every good (pious) servant of Allah, whether he be in the Heaven or on the Earth. CHAPTER (5) باب الت ص ف يق ل لن س ا ء Clapping (to divert attention of the Imam for some urgency during the Salah) is permissible only for the women Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 007 4

Abu Huraira ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that the Prophet ( ہللا عليه و آله وسلم (صلى said, the saying 'Subhanallah is for men and clapping is for women. (If something happens in the prayer, the men can invite the attention of the Imam by saying Subhanallah, and women, by clapping their hands). Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 008 ح د ث ن ا ي ح ي ى أ خ ب ر ن ا و ك يع ع ن س ف ي ان ع ن أ ب ي ح از م ع ن س ه ل ب ن س ع د رضى ہللا عنه ق ال ق ال الن ب ي صلى ہللا عليه وسلم " الت س ب يح ل لر ج ال و الت ص ف يح ل لن س اء ". Sahl bin Sa`d ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى said, the saying Subhanallah is for men and clapping is for women. 10 Anas bin Malik ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that while Abu Bakr ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ was leading the people in the morning prayer on a Monday, the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى came towards them suddenly having lifted the curtain of Ummul Momineen Aisha's ہللا تعالی عنہا) (رضئ house, and looked at them as they were standing in rows and smiled. Abu Bakr ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ tried to come back thinking that Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى wanted to come out for the prayer. The attention of the Muslims was diverted from the prayer because they were delighted to see the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم).(صلى The Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى waved his hand to them to complete their prayer, then he went back into the room and let down the curtain. The Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى died on that very day (a few hours later). CHAPTER (7) باب إ ذ ا د ع ت األ م و ل د ه ا ف ي الص ال ة If a mother calls her son while he is offering Salah Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 010 و ق ال الل ي ث ح د ث ن ي ج ع ف ر ع ن ع ب د الر ح م ن ب ن ه ر م ز ق ال ق ال أ ب و ه ر ي ر ة رضى ہللا عنه ق ال ر س ول للا صلى ہللا عليه وسلم " ن اد ت ام ر أ ة اب ن ه ا و ه و ف ي ص و م ع ة ق ال ت ي ا ج ر ي ج. ق ال الل ه م أ م ي و ص ال ت ي. ق ال ت ي ا ج ر ي ج. ق ال الل ه م أ م ي و ص ال ت ي. ق ال ت ي ا ج ر ي ج. ق ال الل ه م أ م ي و ص ال ت ي. ق ال ت الل ه م ال ي م وت ج ر ي ج ح ت ى ي ن ظ ر ف ي و ج ه ال م ي ام يس. و ك ان ت ت أ و ي إ ل ى ص و م ع ت ه ر اع ي ة ت ر ع ى ال غ ن م ف و ل د ت ف ق يل ل ه ا م م ن ه ذ ا ال و ل د ق ال ت م ن ج ر ي ج ن ز ل م ن ص و م ع ت ه. ق ال ج ر ي ج أ ي ن ه ذ ه ال ت ي ت ز ع م أ ن و ل د ه ا ل ي ق ال ي ا ب اب وس م ن أ ب وك ق ال ر اع ي ال غ ن م ". Abu Huraira ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى said, a woman called her son while he was in his hermitage and said, 'O Juraij' He said, 'O Allah, my mother (is calling me) and (I am offering) my prayer (what shall I do)?' She again said, 'O Juraij!' He said again, 'O Allah! My mother (is calling me) and (I am offering) my prayer (what shall I do)?' She again said, 'O Juraij' He again said, 'O Allah! My mother (is calling me) and (I am offering) my prayer. (What shall I do?)' She said, 'O Allah! Do not let Juraij die till he sees the faces of prostitutes.' A shepherdess used to come by his hermitage for grazing her sheep and she gave birth to a child. She was asked whose child that was, and she replied that it was from Juraij and that he had come out from his hermitage. Juraij said, 'where is that woman who claims that her child is from me?' (When she was brought to him along with the child), Juraij asked the child, 'O Babus, who is your father?' The child replied, 'The shepherd.' 6

11 CHAPTER (8) باب م س ح ال ح ص ى ف ي الص ال ة The levelling of small stones during Salah Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 011 ح د ث ن ا أ ب و ن ع ي م ح د ث ن ا ش ي ب ان ع ن ي ح ي ى ع ن أ ب ي س ل م ة ق ال ح د ث ن ي م ع ي ق يب أ ن الن ب ي صلى ہللا عليه وسلم ق ال ف ي الر ج ل ي س و ي الت ر اب ح ي ث ي س ج د ق ال " إ ن ك ن ت ف اع ال ف و اح د ة ". Mu'aiqib ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى talked about a man leveling the earth on prostrating, and said, if you have to do so, then do it once. CHAPTER (9) باب ب س ط الث و ب ف ي الص ال ة ل لس ج ود Spreading the clothes over the place of prostration Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 012 ح د ث ن ا م س د د ح د ث ن ا ب ش ر ح د ث ن ا غ ال ب ع ن ب ك ر ب ن ع ب د للا ع ن أ ن س ب ن م ال ك رضى ہللا عنه ق ال ك ن ا ن ص ل ي م ع الن ب ي صلى ہللا عليه وسلم ف ي ش د ة ال ح ر ف إ ذ ا ل م ي س ت ط ع أ ح د ن ا أ ن ي م ك ن و ج ه ه م ن األ ر ض ب س ط ث و ب ه ف س جد ع ل ي ه. صلى ہللا عليه و ( Prophet narrated that they used to pray with the (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) Anas bin Malik in scorching heat, and if someone of us could not put his face on the earth (because of the (آله وسلم heat) then he would spread his clothes and prostrate over them. Ummul Momneen Aisha ہللا تعالی عنہا) (رضئ narrated that she used to stretch her legs towards the place where the Prophet ( ہللا عليه و آله وسلم (صلى would prostrate facing the Qibla while praying. Whenever he prostrated, he touched me, and I would withdraw my legs, and whenever he stood up, I would stretch them again. Abu Huraira ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى once offered the prayer and said, Satan came in front of me and tried to interrupt my prayer, but Allah gave me an upper hand on him and I choked him. No doubt, I thought of tying him to one of the pillars of the mosque till you get up in the morning and see him. Then I remembered the statement of Prophet Sulaiman ر ب ه ب ل ي م ل ك ا ال ي ن ب غ ي أل ح د م ن ب ع د ي (عليه السالم) [My Lord, bestow on me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me.] (Sad 35). Then Allah made him (Satan) return with his head down (humiliated). CHAPTER (11) باب إ ذ ا ان ف ل ت ت الد اب ة ف ي الص ال ة If an animal runs away while one is in Salah و ق ال ق ت اد ة إ ن أ خ ذ ث و ب ه ي ت ب ع الس ار ق و ي د ع الص ال ة Qatada said, if a thief takes away the clothes of a person in Salah then he can leave the Salah and follow the thief. Al-Azraq bin Qais narrated that they were were at Al-Ahwaz fighting the Al-Haruriya (Khariji tribe). While I was at the bank of a river a man was praying and the reins of his animal were in his hands and the animal was struggling and he was following the animal. Shu`ba, a sub-narrator, said that man was Abu Barza Al-Aslami ہللا تعالی عنہ).(رضئ A man from the Khawarij said, O Allah! Be harsh to this shaik." And when the Abu Barza ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ finished his prayer, he said, I heard your remark. No doubt, I participated with Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى in six or seven or eight battles and saw his leniency, and no doubt, I would rather retain my animal than let it return to its stable, as it would cause me much trouble. Ummul Momineen Aisha ہللا تعالی عنہا) (رضئ narrated that once the sun eclipsed and Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى stood up for the prayer and recited a very long Sura and when bowed for a long while and then raised his head and started reciting another Sura. Then he bowed, and after finishing, he prostrated and did the same in the second rak`a and then said, these (lunar and solar eclipses) are two of the signs of Allah and if you see them, pray till the eclipse is over. No doubt, while standing at this place I saw everything promised to me by Allah and I saw (Paradise) and I wanted to pluck a bunch (of grapes) therefrom, at the time when you saw me stepping forward. No doubt, I saw Hell with its different parts destroying each other when you saw me retreating, and in it I saw Amr bin Luhai who started the tradition of freeing animals (set them free) in the name of idols. CHAPTER (12) باب م ا ي ج وز م ن ال ب ص اق و الن ف خ ف ي الص ال ة Blowing and spitting while in Salah و ي ذ ك ر ع ن ع ب د للا ب ن ع م ر و ن ف خ الن ب ي ص ل ى للا ع ل ي ه و س ل م ف ي س ج ود ه ف ي ك س وف And Abdullah bin Amr ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that the Prophet during the eclipse Salah blew during his ;(صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) prostration. 9

Ibn Umar ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى saw some sputum on the wall facing the Qibla of the mosque and became furious with the people of the mosque and said, during the prayer, Allah is in front of everyone of you and so he should not spit (or said, 'He should not expectorate'). Then he got down and scratched the sputum with his hand. Ibn Umar ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ said (after narrating), if anyone of you has to spit during the prayer, he should spit to his left." Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 018 ح د ث ن ا م ح م د ح د ث ن ا غ ن د ر ح د ث ن ا ش ع ب ة ق ال س م ع ت ق ت اد ة ع ن أ ن س رضى ہللا عنه ع ن الن ب ي صلى ہللا عليه وسلم ق ا ل " إ ذ ا ك ان ف ي الص ال ة ف إ ن ه ي ن اج ي ر ب ه ف ال ي ب ز ق ن ب ي ن ي د ي ه و ال ع ن ي م ين ه و ل ك ن ع ن ش م ال ه ت ح ت ق د م ه ال ي س ر ى ". Anas ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى said, whenever anyone of you is in prayer, he is speaking in private to his Lord and so he should neither spit in front of him nor on his right side but to his left side under his left foot. CHAPTER (13) ب اب م ن ص ف ق ج اه ال م ن الر ج ال ف ي ص ال ت ه ل م ت ف س د ص ال ت ه If a man claps during the Salah because of ignorance, his Salah will not be invalid ف يه س ه ل ب ن س ع د ر ض ي للا ع ن ه ع ن الن ب ي ص ل ى للا ع ل ي ه و س ل م This is narrated by Sahl bin Sa'd ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ on the.(صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) authority of the Prophet There is no Hadith in this Chapter. 10

15 CHAPTER (14) باب إ ذ ا ق يل ل ل م ص ل ي ت ق د م أ و ان ت ظ ر ف ان ت ظ ر ف ال ب أ س If a person in Salah is asked to step forward, or to wait, there will be no harm therein Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 019 ح د ث ن ا م ح م د ب ن ك ث ير أ خ ب ر ن ا س ف ي ان ع ن أ ب ي ح از م ع ن س ه ل ب ن س ع د رضى ہللا عنه ق ال ك ان الن اس ي ص ل ون م ع الن ب ي صلى ہللا عليه وسلم و ه م ع اق د و أ ز ر ه م م ن الص غ ر ع ل ى ر ق اب ه م ف ق يل ل لن س اء " ال ت ر ف ع ن ر ء وس ك ن ح ت ى ي س ت و ي الر ج ال ج ل وس ا ". Sahl bin Sa`d ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that the people used to offer the prayer with the Prophet with their waist-sheets tied round their necks because of the shortness of (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) the sheets and the women were ordered not to lift their heads till the men had sat straight. CHAPTER (15) باب ال ي ر د الس ال م ف ي الص ال ة One should not return greetings during the Salah Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 020 ح د ث ن ا ع ب د للا ب ن أ ب ي ش ي ب ة ح د ث ن ا اب ن ف ض ي ل ع ن األ ع م ش ع ن إ ب ر اه يم ع ن ع ل ق م ة ع ن ع ب د للا ق ال ك ن ت أ س ل م ع ل ى الن ب ي صلى ہللا عليه وسلم و ه و ف ي الص ال ة ف ي ر د ع ل ى ف ل م ا ر ج ع ن ا س ل م ت ع ل ي ه ف ل م ي ر د ع ل ى و ق ا ل " إ ن ف ي الص ال ة ش غ ال ". Abdullah ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that he used to greet the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى while he was in prayer and he would return my greeting, but when we returned (from Ethiopia) I greeted the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى (while he was praying) but he did not return the greeting, and (after finishing the prayer) he said, in the prayer one is occupied (with a more serious matter). Jabir bin Abdullah ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى sent me (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) for some job and when I had finished it I returned and came to the Prophet and greeted him but he did not return my greeting. So I felt so sorry that only Allah knows it and I said to myself, 'perhaps Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى is angry because I did not come quickly, then again I greeted him but he did not reply. I felt even more sorry than I did the first time. Again I greeted him and he returned the greeting and said, the thing which prevented me from returning the greeting was that I was praying. And at that time he was on his Rahila and his face was not towards the Qibla. Sahl bin Sa`d ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that the news about the differences amongst the people of Bani Amr bin Auf at Quba reached Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى and so he went to صلى ہللا عليه و ( Apostle them along with some of his companions to affect a reconciliation. Allah's came (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) was delayed there and the time for the prayer became due. Bilal (آله وسلم صلى ہللا ( Apostle Allah's (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) and said, O Abu Bakr (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) to Abu Bakr is held up (there) and the time for the prayer is due. Will you lead the people in (عليه و آله وسلم (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ ( Bilal replied, Yes, if you wish. So (رضئ ہللا تعالی عنہ) prayer? Abu Bakr pronounced the Iqama and Abu Bakr ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ went forward and the people said Takbir. In the meantime, Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى came piercing through the rows till he stood in the (first) row and the people started clapping. Abu Bakr ہللا تعالی عنہ),(رضئ would never 12

17 look hither and thither during the prayer but when the people clapped much he looked back and saw Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم).(صلى The Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى beckoned him to carry on. Abu Bakr ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ raised both his hands, praised Allah and retreated till he stood in the row and Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى went forward and led the people in the prayer. When he had finished the prayer, he addressed the people and said, O people! Why did you start clapping when something happened to you in the prayer? Clapping is for women. Whenever one is confronted with something unusual in the prayer one should say, 'Subhanallah. Then the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى looked towards Abu Bakr ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ and asked, رضئ ( Bakr what prevented you from leading the prayer when I beckoned you to carry on? Abu replied, it does not befit the son of Al Qahafa to lead the prayer in the presence of (ہللا تعالی عنہ.(صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) Allah's Aposstle CHAPTER (17) باب ال خ ص ر ف ي الص ال ة Keeping the hands on the hips during Salah Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 023 ح د ث ن ا أ ب و الن ع م ان ح د ث ن ا ح م اد ع ن أ ي وب ع ن م ح م د ع ن أ ب ي ه ر ي ر ة رضى ہللا عنه ق ال ن ه ي ع ن ال خ ص ر ف ي الص ال ة. و ق ال ه ش ام و أ ب و ه ال ل ع ن اب ن س ير ين ع ن أ ب ي ه ر ي ر ة ع ن الن ب ي صلى ہللا عليه وسلم. 18 Thinking of something during Salah و ق ال ع م ر ر ض ي للا ع ن ه إ ن ي أل ج ه ز ج ي ش ي و أ ن ا ف ي الص ال ة Umar ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ said, I think of organizing my troops while I am in Salah Sahih al-bukhari Vol 2, Bk 21, Hadith # 025 ح د ث ن ا إ س ح اق ب ن م ن ص ور ح د ث ن ا ر و ح ح د ث ن ا ع م ر ه و اب ن س ع يد ق ال أ خ ب ر ن ي اب ن أ ب ي م ل ي ك ة ع ن ع ق ب ة ب ن ال ح ار ث رضى ہللا عنه ق ال ص ل ي ت م ع الن ب ي صلى ہللا عليه وسلم ال ع ص ر ف ل م ا س ل م ق ام س ر يع ا د خ ل ع ل ى ب ع ض ن س ائ ه ث م خ ر ج و ر أ ى م ا ف ي و ج وه ال ق و م م ن ت ع ج ب ه م ل س ر ع ت ه ف ق ا ل " ذ ك ر ت و أ ن ا ف ي الص ال ة ت ب ر ا ع ن د ن ا ف ك ر ه ت أ ن ي م س ي أ و ي ب يت ع ن د ن ا ف أ م ر ت ب ق س م ت ه ". Uqba bin Al-Harith ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that he offered the Asr prayer with the Prophet and after finishing the prayer with Taslim he got up quickly and went to (صلى ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) some of his wives and then came out. He noticed the signs of astonishment on the faces of the people caused by his speed. He then said, I remembered while I was in my prayer that a piece of gold was Lying in my house and I disliked that it should remain with us throughout the night, and so I have ordered it to be distributed. Abu Huraira ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى said, when the Adhan for the prayer is pronounced, then Satan takes to his heels passing wind so that he may not hear the Adhan and when the Mu'adh-dhin finishes, he comes back; and when the Iqama is pronounced he again takes to his heels and when it is finished, he again comes back and continues reminding the praying person of things that he would not to remember when not in prayer till he forgets how much he has prayed. Abu Salama bin Abdur-Rahman said, if anyone of you has such a thing (forgetting the number of rak`a he has prayed) he should perform two prostrations of Sahu (forgetfulness) while sitting. Abu Huraira ہللا تعالی عنہ) (رضئ narrated that the people say that I narrate too many narrations of the Prophet ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) ;(صلى once I met a man (during the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ and asked him, which Sura did Allah's Apostle ہللا عليه و آله وسلم) (صلى recite yesterday in the `Isha' prayer? He said, I do not know. I said, did you not attend the prayer? He said, yes, (I did). I said, I know. He recited such and such Sura. 15
