أثز استخدام قزاءة القصص يف حتسني االستيعاب القزائي لدى طالب الصف اخلامس األساسي يف مدارس البادية الشمالية الغزبية Abstract The study aimed to investigate the effect of using stories reading in improving reading comprehension of the Basic Fifth Grade Students at the Northern Western Badia schools. The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach. The study sample consisted of (30) students and was divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was taught by using the stories reading approach while the control group was taught by using the traditional approach. The researcher prepared a test consisted of () essay type questions. The validity and reliability of the test were confirmed and the reliability of the internal consistency of the test was confirmed by using Cron bach's alpha coefficient equation and was found (0.87). The study results indicated that there were statistical differences in favor of the experimental group taught by using the stories reading approach. The study concluded with some recommendations in the light of the results. Key words: reading stories, reading comprehension, fifth Grade Students. 762 )32(
