Du a for general protection from evil IN THE MORNING ر ب أ س أ ل ك خ ي م ا ف هذا الي و م و خ ي م ا ب ع د ه و أ ع وذ ب ك م ن ش م ا ف هذا الي و م و ش م ا ب ع د ه Rabbi asʾaluka khayra mā fī hādhā al-yawmi wa-khayra mā baʿdahu wa-aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā fī ḥādhā al-yawmi wa-sharri mā baʿdahu. My Lord, I ask You for the good in this day and what follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil in this day and what follows it. AT NIGHT ر ب أ س أ ل ك خ ي م ا ف ه ذ ه الل ي ل ة و خ ي م ا ب ع د ه ا و أ ع وذ ب ك م ن ش م ا ف ه ذ ه الل ي ل ة و ش م ا ب ع د ه ا Rabbi asʾaluka khayra mā fī hādhihi al-laylati wa-khayra mā baʿdahā wa-aʿūdhu bika min sharri mā fī ḥādhihi al-laylati wa-sharri mā baʿdahā. Du a to avoid bringing harm to oneself or others الل ه م ف اط ر الس م و ات و األ ر ض ع ال م ال غ ي ب و الش ه اد ة ال إ ل ه إ ال أ ن ت ر ب ك ل ش ء و م ل يك ه أ ع وذ ب ك م ن ش ن ف س و م ن ش الش ي ط ان و ش ك ه و أ ن أ ق ت ف ع ل ن ف س س وء ا أ و أ ج ر ه إ ل م س ل م Allāhumma fāṭira as-samawāti wal-arḍi ʿālima al-ghaybi washshahādati lā ilāha illā anta rabbi kulli shayʾin wa-malīkahu aʿūdhu bika min sharri nafsī wa-min sharri al-shayṭāni wa-sharakihi wa-an aqtarifa ʿalā nafsī sūʾan aw ajurrahu ilā muslimin. O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the Unseen and Visible, Lord and Master of all things, there is no true god but You, I seek refuge in You from the evil of myself and the evil of Shaytan and his [encouragement to commit] shirk (idolatry), and from bringing evil to myself or to another Muslim. Du a to avoid sudden afflictions [Repeat 3 times] ب س م الل ه ال ذ ي ال ي ض م ع اس م ه ش ء ف األ ر ض و ال ف الس م ء و ه و الس م يع ال ع ل يم Bismillāhi al-ladhī lā yadurru maʿa ismihi shayʾun fī al-arḍi wa-lā fī as-samāʾi wa-huwa al-samīʿu al-ʿalīmu. Du a for well-being and divine protection الل ه م إ ن أ س أ ل ك ال ع اف ي ة ف الد ن ي ا و اآلخ ر ة الل ه م إ ن أ س أ ل ك ال ع ف و و ال ع اف ي ة ف د ين ي و د ن ي اى و أ ه ل و م ال الل ه م اس ت ع و ر ات و آم ن ر و ع ات الل ه م اح ف ظ ن ي م ن ب ي ي د ى و م ن خ ل ف ي و ع ن ي ين ي و ع ن ش م ل و م ن ف و ق ي و أ ع وذ ب ع ظ م ت ك أ ن أ غ ت ال م ن ت ح ت ي Allāhumma innī asʾaluka al-ʿāfiya fī al-dunyā wal-ākhira allāhumma innī asʾaluka al-ʿafwa wal-ʿāfiya fī dīnī wa-dunyāya wa-ahlī wa-mālī allāhumma ustur ʿawrātī wa-āmin rawʿātī allāhumma iḥfaẓnī min bayni yadayya wa-min khalfī wa-ʿan yamīnī wa-ʿan shimālī wa-min fawqī wa-aʿūdhu bi-ʿaẓimatika an ughtāla min taḥtī. O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family and my property. O Allah, conceal my faults and set at ease my dismay. O Allah, guard me from in front of me and behind me, on my right and on my left, and from above me. Du a for well-being of faculties [Repeat 3 times in the morning and 3 times in the evening] الل ه م ع اف ن ي ف ب د ن الل ه م ع اف ن ي ف س م ع ي الل ه م ع اف ن ي ف ب ص ي ال إ ل ه إ ال أ ن ت Allāhumma ʿāfinī fī badanī allāhumma ʿāfinī fī samʿī allāhumma ʿāfinī fī baṣarī lā ilāha illa anta O Allah! Grant me well-being in my body. O Allah! Grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah! Grant me well-being in my sight. There is no true god but You. Source: ABU DAWUD 8
Du a that protects from every harm [Repeat each surah 3 times in the morning and 3 times in the evening] ق ل ه و الل ه أ ح د الل ه الص م د ل م ي ل د و ل م ي ول د و ل م ي ك ن ل ه ك ف و ا أ ح د Qul huwa Allāhu aḥadun. Allāhu aṣ-ṣamadu. Lam yalid wa-lam yūlad. Wa-lam yakun lahu kufūwan ahadun. Say, He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent. ق ل أ ع وذ ب ر ب ال ف ل ق م ن ش م ا خ ل ق و م ن ش غ اس ق إ ذ ا و ق ب و م ن ش الن ف اث ات ف ال ع ق د و م ن ش ح اس د إ ذ ا ح س د Qul ʿaūdhu bi-rabbi al-falaqi. Min sharri mā khalaqa. Wa-min sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqaba. Wa-min sharri an-naffāthāti fī al-ʿuqadi. Wa-min sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasada. Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak, From the evil of that which He created, And from the evil of darkness when it settles, And from the evil of the blowers in knots, And from the evil of an envier when he envies. ق ل أ ع وذ ب ر ب الن اس م ل ك الن اس إ ل ه الن اس م ن ش ال و س و اس ال خ ن اس ال ذ ي ي و س و س ف ص د ور الن اس م ن ال ج ن ة و الن اس Qul ʿaūdhu bi-rabbi an-nāsi. Maliki an-nāsi. Ilāhi an-nāsi. Min sharri al-waswāsi al-khannāsi. Al-ladhī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūri an-nāsi. Min al-jinnati wan-nāsi. Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, The Sovereign of mankind. The God of mankind, From the evil of the retreating whisperer Who whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind From among the jinn and mankind. Source: Recite Surah Al-Ikhlas and the Mu awwidhatayn (Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas) three times in the morning and three times in the evening. Du a that removes anxiety [Repeat 7 times] ح س ب ي الل ه ال إ ل ه إ ال ه و ع ل ي ه ت و ك ل ت و ه و ر ب ال ع ر ش ال ع ظ يم Ḥasbiya Allāhu lā ilāha illa huwa ʿalayhi tawakkaltu wa-huwa rabbu al-ʿarshi al-ʿaẓīmi Allah is enough for me. There is no true god but Him, in Him I put my trust, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne. Source: ABU DAWUD 10

Du a for guidance and protection before leaving the home ب س م الل ه ت و ك ل ت ع ل الل ه ال ح و ل و ال ق و ة إ ال ب الل ه Bismillāhi tawakkaltu ʿalā Allāhi lā ḥawla wa-la quwwata illā billāhi In the Name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah. Reciting these two ayahs at night is a protection from all harm آم ن الر س ول ب ا أ نز ل إ ل ي ه م ن ر ب ه و ال م ؤ م ن ون ك ل آم ن ب الل ه و م ل ئ ك ت ه و ك ت ب ه و ر س ل ه ال ن ف ر ق ب ي أ ح د م ن ر س ل ه و ق ال وا س م ع ن ا و أ ط ع ن ا غ ف ر ان ك ر ب ن ا و إ ل ي ك ال م ص ي Āmana ar-rasūlu bi-mā unzila ilayhi min rabbihi wal-muʾminūna. Kullun āmana billāhi wa-malāʾikatihi wa-kutubihi wa-rasulihi lā nufarriqu bayna aḥadin min rusulihi wa-qālū samiʿnā wa-aṭaʿnā ghufrānaka rabbanā wa-ilayka al-maṣīru. The Messenger has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], We make no distinction between any of His messengers. And they say, We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination. ال ي ك ل ف الل ه ن ف س ا إ ال و س ع ه ا ل ه ا م ا ك س ب ت و ع ل ي ه ا م ا اك ت س ب ت ر ب ن ا ال ت ؤ اخ ذ ن ا إ ن ن س ين ا أ و أ خ ط أ ن ا ر ب ن ا و ال ت ح م ل ع ل ي ن ا إ ص ا ك م ح م ل ت ه ع ل ال ذ ين م ن ق ب ل ن ا ر ب ن ا و ال ت ح م ل ن ا م ا ال ط اق ة ل ن ا ب ه و اع ف ع ن ا و اغ ف ر ل ن ا و ار ح م ن ا أ نت م و ال ن ا ف انص ن ا ع ل ال ق و م ال ك اف ر ين Lā yukallifu Allāhu nafsān illā wusʿahā lahā mā kasabat wa-ʿalayhā maktasabat. Rabbanā lā tūʾākhidhnā in nasīnā aw akhṭaʾnā. Rabbanā wa-lā taḥmil ʿalaynā iṣrān kamā ḥamaltahu ʿalā al-ladhīna min qablinā. Rabbanā wa-lā tuḥammilnā mā lā ṭāqaṭa lanā bihi waʿfu ʿannā waghfir lanā warḥamanā anta mawlānā fanṣurnā ʿalā al-qawmi al-kāfirīna. Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people. Du a for well-being and protection [Extracted from Du a Qunut recited during Witr prayer] الل ه م اه د ن ف يم ن ه د ي ت و ع اف ن ي ف يم ن ع اف ي ت و ت و ل ن ي ف يم ن ت و ل ي ت و ب ار ك ل ف يم أ ع ط ي ت و ق ن ي ش م ا ق ض ي ت إن ك ت ق ض و ال ي ق ض ع لي ك إن ه ال ي ذ ل م ن و ال ي ت ت ب ار ك ت و ت ع ال ي ت Allāhumma ihdinī fī-man hadayta wa-ʿāfinī fī-man ʿāfayta watawallanī fī-man tawwalayta wa-bārik lī fī-mā aʿṭayta wa-qinī sharra mā qaḍayta innaka taqḍī wa-lā yuqḍā ʿalayka innahu lā yadhillu man wālayta tabārakta wa-taʿālayta O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided, grant me well-being among those whom You have granted well-being, turn to me in friendship among those on whom You have turned in friendship, bless me in what You have bestowed, and save me from the evil of what You have decreed. Du a made when afflicted with illness or pain #1 ب س م الل ه Bismillāhi Place your hand where you feel pain and say Bismillah three times. أ ع وذ بالل ه و ق د ر ت ه م ن ش ما أ ج د و أ ح اذ ر Aʿūdhu billāhi wa-qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa-uḥādhiru Then repeat seven times, I seek refuge in Allah and in His power from the evil of what I am experiencing and what I fear. Du a made when afflicted with illness or pain #2 الل ه م ر ب الن اس أ ذ ه ب ال ب أس اش ف أ ن ت الش اف ال ش اف إ ال أ ن ت ش ف اء ال ي غ اد ر س ق م Allāhumma rabbi al-nās adhhibi al-baʾsa ishfi anta al-shāfī lā shāfiya illa anta shifāʾan lā yughādiru saqaman O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the difficulty and heal (the patient), for You are the Healer. Let us enjoy our hearing, our sight, and our power, as long as you let us live, and leave them to inherit us. Let retaliation be upon those who oppress us, and support us against those who are hostile to us. Let no calamity afflict our religion. Let not the world be our greatest worry, nor the extent of our knowledge. And let not rule over us those who are unmerciful to us. Source: TIRMIDHI 21
