This includes export and re-export business where the number of the certificates of origin issued by Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has increased to 35,133 certificates compared to 33,831 certificates in 2009 at a growth rate of 3.84% and an increase of 14.2% over the year 2008. The value of the exported commodities dropped at the rate of 35.6% to reach AED 5,276,658,761.49 in 2010 compared to AED 8,198,840,526 in 2009 representing an increase of 2,922,181,764.51 while a rate of 80.8% was achieved in 2009 compared to 4,532,502,518.00 in 2007. The following table shows the number of certificates of origin issued by Ras Al Khaimah Chamber according to the quarterly distribution in 2010. More than 25,285 certificates were issued to 19 Arab states for the value of AED 2,357,359,104. According to the total number of certificates of origin issued by the Chamber, Saudi Arabia has acquired the biggest number of the certificates amounting to 8127 for the value of AED 844,236,093.6, according to the graphics for the relative distribution of the number of the certificates of origin followed by Qatar in the second place with 4,434 for the value of AED.6, Jordan in the third place with 2465 certificates for the value of AED 103,383,354.1, Kuwait in the fourth place with 2187 certificates for the value of AED 188,951,665.3 and then Iran in the fifth place with 2,099 certificates for the value of AED The biggest share of the state compared to other states as to the number of certificates of origin issued by RAK Chamber in 2010 Other Countri es 77% Saudi Arabia 23%
As to the distribution of the states by the value of the exported commodities, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait and Syria occupied the first five places as to the value of the commodities exported to them. Iran acquired 46.38% of the total value of the certificates of origin in 2010 amounting to AED 2,447,951,058.2 followed by Saudi Arabia at the rate of 16% of the total value, Iraq at the rate of 8% and Kuwait at the rate of 3.5%.
