The most important factors are economic and political stability, considering that UAE is a gateway for regional and international markets and there are significant investment opportunities within the State, in addition to its excellent geographical location and the availability of infrastructure and ease of investment procedures in various sectors. With the trade balance achieved a positive step for the UAE and the shift from deficit of $ 6.10 during the first half of 2009 to a surplus for the benefit of the UAE during the first half of 2010 increased by 1.2 billion dirhams, as a result of the high value of exports UAE non-oil per 74.5% of the total value increased from 8.4 billion dirhams in the first half of 2009 to 14.7 billion dirhams, in addition to the high value of UAE re-exports of goods to India rose by 136%, rising from 10.1 billion dirhams to about 23.9 billion dirhams. Moreover, India is the UAE s first trade partner for imports, with a total value of 2010.36500000000 AED during the first half of 2010, recording a growth rate of 24.4% compared to the same period in 2009. Imports by 78.8% concentrated in five exported products: "crafted diamond, but not processed or fixed " with value of 18.8 billion dirhams to constitute 51.4% of total imports with growth rate reaching 151.2% as compared to the first half of 2009, then "gold in raw, semi-crafted or in powder form" by 6 billion dirhams, but with declining rate compared to the first half of 2009 reaching 36.1%, then " jewelry and parts thereof, in terms of precious metal or of metal clad with precious metal" by 1.7 billion dirhams.
