2 BICSL Program برنامج بكسل Basic Infection Control Skills License, BICSL, is a training program that aims at the safety of the healthcare worker and the patient through training in basic infection control skills and essential vaccinations. The program is mandatory for all healthcare workers working in the Ministry of Health. رخصة املهارات ا ألساسية ملاكحفة العدوى»بكسل«هو برانمج هيدف اىل سالمة املامرس الصحي واملريض وذكل عن طريق التدريب عىل املهارات ا ألساسية ملاكحفة العدوى وحصول املامرس عىل التطعاميت ا ألساسية الالزمة. الربانمج الزايم لاكفة املامرسني الصحيني العاملني يف وزارة الصحة.

3 Facility Instructor مدرب املنشأة "Facility instructor" is the person responsible for implementing BICSL program at his/her facility for all healthcare workers. The instructor's roles include: basic infection control training, data entry into HESN program and issuing BICSL cards. Each healthcare facility should have multiple instructors.»مدرب املنشأأة«هو الشخص املؤهل واملسئول عن تنفيذ برانمج بكسل عىل مس توى املنشأأة لاكفة املامرسني الصحيني. تشمل أأدوار مدرب املنشأأة: التدريب عىل املهارات ا ألساسية ملاكحفة العدوى وتسجيل البياانت يف برانمج حصن ومنح الرخصة ا ألساسية ملاكحفة العدوى )بكسل(. املنشأأة الواحدة جيب أأن يكون دلهيا أأكرب عدد من املدربني.

4 BICSL Requirements The Facility Instructor of the issues BICSL card to the healthcare worker through HESN program only after the healthcare worker meets the following requirements: 1. Watching the instructional video and completing the written test. 2. Demonstration of hand hygiene and PPE. 3. N95 respirator fit testing. 4. 5 BICSL Requirements First: Watching the Instructional Video and Completing the Written test. The facility instructor is requested to present the BICSL educational video to the healthcare worker. After watching the video, the facility instructor will repeat the key points in the video and will provide the HCW with the a post-test. HCW should achieve at least 50% of the test score. Otherwise, BICSL training should be rescheduled. 7 BICSL Requirements Second: Hand Hygiene and PPE Competency: The facility instructor will assess the HCW s competency on hand hygiene and PPE. If HCW is competent, the facility instructor will enter that directly into the employee s record in HESN. If the HCW is unable to master the required skills, the facility instructor will explain the skills again to the HCW and will reassess the competency. If the HCW is still unable to master the required skills, the facility instructor should not issue the BICSL card and should reschedule him/her for another training. متطلبات احلصول على بكسل ثانيا. تطبيق املمارس ملهارات نظافة األيدي والواقيات الشخصية بشكل عملي: يقوم»مدرب املنشأأة«بلطلب من املامرس الصحي بتطبيق نظافة ا أليدي بطريقة حصيحة ولبس وخلع الواقيات الشخصية بلطريقة والرتتيب الصحيح. يف حال اتقان املامرس الصحي ملهارة نظافة ا أليدي والواقيات الشخصية يمت ادخال ذكل يف برانمج حصن. يف حال عدم الاجتياز يقوم مدرب املنشأأة بلرشح للمامرس مرة أأخرى بشلك معيل مث يقوم بعادة الاختبار هل. يف حال اكن املامرس غري قادر عىل اتقان املهارات املطلوبة بعد االعادة بشلك مريض ال يمت اعطاءه الرخصة ي ومت جدوةل تدريبه مرة أأخرى.

8 BICSL Requirements N95 Respirator Fit Testing: The facility instructor will review the HCW's record in HESN system for N95 fit testing. If the N95 size does not exist in HESN, the facility instructor will ask the HCW to perform N95 fit testing in the Employee Clinic. If fit testing is not possible in the Employee Clinic, the facility instructor is responsible for conducting the fit testing and entering the proper type and size of N95 in HESN. متطلبات احلصول على بكسل ثالثا. قياس مالئمة الكمام التنفسي N95 يقوم املدرب مبراجعة جسل املوظف يف حصن ومعرفة قياس الكامم التنفيس. يف حال اكن القياس غري موجود وال تقوم عيادة حصة العاملني بعمل اختبار مالمئة الكامم التنفيس عايل الكفاءة يكون مدرب املنشأأة مسؤو اال عن القيام بقياس الكامم التنفيس للمامرس.

9 BICSL Requirements Fourth: Completion of the Seasonal Influenza and Meningococcal Vaccines: The facility instructor will review the HCW's record in HESN system for seasonal influenza and meningococcal vaccinations. If the vaccines are not recorded, the facility instructor will ask the HCW to complete the required vaccines in the Employee Clinic. If the HCW has a proof for receiving the vaccines, the facility instructor will review the document, enter the data into HESN and file a hard copy of the vaccination proof. متطلبات احلصول على بكسل رابعا. امتام املمارس لتطعيم االنفلونزا واحلمى الشوكية: يقوم املدرب بلتأأكد من تلقي املامرس الصحي لتطعمي االنفلونزا املومسية وتطعمي امحلى الشوكية عن طريق برانمج حصن. يف حال اكنت النتيجة ورقية يقوم مدرب املنشأأة مبراجعهتا والتأأكد من ادخالها يف برانمج حصن والاحتفاظ بنسخة دليه.

10 Facility Instructor Resp. مسئولية مدرب املنشأة Facility Instructor Responsibilities: The facility instructor is responsible for all BICSL licenses issued by him/her. Instructor s responsibilities include ensuring that the license is granted to the qualified person who meets all the requirements and is accountable for intentionally entering false data or giving his or her HESN account information to someone else. مسئولية مدرب املنشأة: مدرب املنشأأة مس ئول عن اكفة رخص بكسل اليت تصدر من خالهل. تشمتل مسؤولياته عىل التأأكد من اعطاء الرخصة للشخص املؤهل فقط ممن جيتاز اكفة املتطلبات ويتحمل املس ئولية يف حال ادخال بياانت غري حصيحة معد اا أأو اعطاء معلومات حسابه يف حصن لشخص أخر.

13 Activity 1: Login into HESN *Note that Firefox is the recommended web browser for HESN. 1. Use URL. 2. Enter your User Name and Password then click the Login button. 3. Select your desired language and click the Continue button. **You can download Firefox through the following link:

14 Activity 2: Reset Password ** To reset your Password, apply the following: 1. Click on the hyperlink CLICK HERE TO CHANGE PASSWORD 2. Change Password screen will appear. 3. Enter new password and click change.

15 6 4 Activity 3: Update User Profile ** In order to update your profile apply the following: 1. Click on My Account, choose User Profile. Manage User Profile screen will display. 2. Choose your preferred language. 3. Choose preferred calendar. 4. Update/ Add your Phone Number. 5. Add your 6. Click Save. ** This is done once you receive your HESN username. 73

16 Activity 4: Client Search/Set in context 1. Click on Investigation tab 2. Select Search Client under Search section in the left navigation panel. 3. Search Client screen will display. Upon hiring, all Health Care Facilities employees eligible for BICSL should have a record on HESN The BICSL document should be filled once training and Respirator fitting is initiated

17 Activity 4: Client Search/Set in context 1. In Search Client Screen, Enter the search criteria and click on Search button. **It is recommended to use client personal identifier such as, Saudi ID, Iqama, Boarder Number, or HESN Client ID 2. If client found, select the client and then click Set in Context. Make sure to choose the correct client from Client Inbox Search Results. 3. If client Not found, click on Create Client.

Select Nationality f.health Region Information (Refer to next page) f

Then search, or type the name of the Organization you wish to specify. 3. Select it and click on 'Select' button. 4. Then click 'Close' to close ** It is usually defaulted to user work place/ SDL..

20 Activity 5: Create New Client Enter the Marital Status in the Personal Information* section.

21 Activity 5: Create New Client Select relevant Additional IDs Type 2.Type the number of the ID. 3.Click Add. 3

22 Activity 5: Create New Client Enter Telephone Number under Contact Information then click Add. *Note: repeat the same steps to add additional numbers if needed. Select added phone number to Update/Delete/Set Preferred.

24 Activity 5: Create New Client Task 5.7 Click Save* ** You can save after filling information in any of the sections mentioned before ** Save button available on top and bottom of the page. ** HESN Client ID will be generated to saved clients.

25 Activity 6: BICSL Encounter Group 1. Once Client is in Context, under investigation in the left navigation panel click on Subject Summary. 2. Go to BICSL Encounter Group, 3. Click on Create Encounter 3

26 Activity 7 : Create BICSL Encounter *Fill out the required fields in the Encounter Details screen: 1. Encounter Date: Date of Initiation of any of BICSL Requirements 2. Encounter Type: BICSL 3. Responsible Organization. (Defaulted to User Organization) 4. Location (Defaulted to User SDL 5. /Work Place e.g. Hospital 6. Click Save **Make sure that the employee organization and location are correct. ** This encounter is created upon initial infection control training for the purpose of issuing BICSL 4 5

27 Activity 8: Fill BICSL Checklist UDF 1. Message Encounter Successfully Saved appears with encounter in context. Click on Encounter UDF 1 2. The encounter UDF screen will display User Defined Table with Available Forms. 3. Choose radio button next to UDF BICSL Checklist 4. Click Fill out Form

28 Activity 8:Fill BICSL Checklist UDF BICSL Form will appear. 1. Fill General Section 2. Click add to expand each section and fill required fields. For every Respiratory Fit/Competency/Vaccination Review, a new entry is added to each relevant section 3. Click Submit when all information is completed

30 Activity 8: Fill BICSL Checklist UDF 2 1. The Encounter UDF screen will display and the filled UDF will appear in the Filled Out Forms 1 Table 2. To update the UDF, 3 Choose radio button next to the UDF 3. Click Update Form Answers 4. The UDF will open Only one encounter is created and only one form is again. Update and filled. For any update, go to the filled UDF under the Submit existing Encounter and update by adding a new section to relevant skill

31 Activity 9: Generate BICSL Card To generate BICSL Card 1. Select standard Reports under reporting and Analysis section in the left navigation panel. 2. Select Report Type screen will display. Click Show Report Folders 3. Choose KSA203A Employee BICSL Card

32 Activity 9: Generate BICSL Card In the Report Filters Screen, select 1. Report Output (defaulted to PDF format) 2. Client Number Type and Client ID (defaulted to Context Client HESN ID) 3. Click Generate Report Can search using HESN ID or Personal Identifier

33 Activity 9: Generate BICSL Card 1. If the employee has met all required criteria, the BICSL Card is generated. 2. If one or more criteria is not met, a message will appear explaining the reason for not issuing the card.

35 Activity 11: Viewing Immunization Record 3 1. With Client in Context, Click on Immunization tab 2. under immunizations in the left navigation panel click on View Client Imms Profile. 3. The client Immunization View/Add screen will display with all immunizations received and registered on HESN in Immunizing Agent Table Verify reported immunization by viewing immunization profile on HESN
